Yeah it was. Though it was only due to its price. These days 1€ games are as common as dirt on steam (and almost all are about as boring), but back then, there really were no other games that cheap. The game actually plays a lot like Qix, which was an arcade game released in 1981.

If you decide to look for pictures of Qix through google image search, don't do that when there's someone else around... apparently there were a lot of porn games released that were inspired by it
