I just spent 4 hours taking apart and putting my pc back together trying to upgrade my motherboard, only to realize I bought a mini motherboard instead of a full size so now I have to return it and get a regular one. It is now 2:30 AM and I cut my hand while doing all this, but my suffering is your benefit lol. Strangely enough, I actually did learn a lot about pc components, their location and building from this game. I am going to sleep so will add whoever's link to next cart in the morning lol.

About your description, are you talking about doing that in real life or in the game?
Why cant you work with the mini size? is your case not compatible or do you have too many components to fit?
I remember also building my pc very late after getting home from work. The more sleepy I felt the more mistakes I made while building haha, be careful, I know it is too exciting to put the new part inside and waiting til next day can be frustrating.
Oh, and did you cut your hand with a sharp corner or metal piece from the case? was it the metal brackets from the back of the case? those silly things always hurt me when removing them, rip your hand

My cases are always cutting edge... :D :D

cool mouse bro, do you have a case made of rib bones?

I thought I could make it work, but then I realized there wasn't enough space to plug in all the cords for the USB and my case front panel, It also didn't quite sit right in the case and the fan barely fit on to it. I cut it on something metal while trying to plug in the CPU cord which I should have done before I screwed in the motherboard lol.

I'll never be any good at building PCs. I kind of enjoy it, but I only do it every ... seven years? So by then, I've forgotten everything and also need to read reviews on CPUs, motherboards, etc because all the technology is completely new and what I had read about previously is by then outdated. It is about time for a new one, though!

If you knew how to do it 7 years ago, you still know how to do it now.
On the contrary, I find that the assembly has been greatly simplified compared to a few years ago. The connectors and PSU are standards, foolproof/guidepin everywhere, less incompatibilities (or better reported as before) , everything is clear. On the other hand, as you point out, you have to get up to date on the technical aspects

I bet you could do it! I originally bought a prebuilt PC 5 years ago, but needed some more and new parts so I had to start learning how to replace them. I thought it would be more complicated than it is, I think the hardest part is making sure all the tiny single pin plugs are placed in the right spot. I plugged the power button cord into the wrong spot which made my entire pc not turn on, took me at least half an hour to figure out what was wrong lol. Also learned I had a faulty SATA port once my pc was telling me to insert a boot drive even though my hard drive with windows was plugged in.

I'm really impressed the simulator includes injuries. Can players also set themselves on fire? 😉

Yes. You "need gasoline + matches" DLC though.

There might be a cross-promotion with Gas Station Simulator.

Not sure on that one, haven't gotten to that point yet lol. ;)

Totally envisioning a crossover with the game "Kill It With Fire" where your cases are infested with spiders.

Heh. That reminded me time when I was building my very first PC.
I've bought all parts early Saturday morning and went to work. Whole day I was thinking what game I want to try first (my old PC was veeery old and there was a bunch of games I couldn't run on it). After a work I managed to finish my first ever PC about 1 AM.
And then I realized that motherboard has only 1 port PS/2 while my keyboard and mouse were PS/2 both... Moreover, the only local shop where I could buy a needed USB device was on holiday the next day so I had to wait till Monday evening. It was a big mental pain xD
