I personally played and beat all Alien/Zombie Shooter games (off-steam, long time ago) and I find them to be the best top-down shooters ever made. If I didn't have such huge backlog of good games I'd probably get all of them on Steam and beat them again.
The only games of this type that came close to being so good were Shadowgrounds games. Albeit the second Shadowgrounds game really annoyed me with how hard it is to know where the level ends sometimes. So I explore around and all of a sudden I step on the part that immediately starts the transition to the next level, without me fully exploring the current one.
And, how was it? Was it everything you hoped for and more?

Eh. It was ok. It was several years ago.
I won't ever play 2. I own plenty of better games on the same theme now.
