you can see Contributor Value from two points of view, we'll take this giveaway as an example:
i've created this giveaway and, if everything goes right, i'll get 2 points of CV. i need these 2 points of CV to raise up my Level.
you want to enter this giveaway, you have to pay 2 points (of your 400) to enter. if you win it, no big fuss, your Ratio of created giveaways/wins has changed.
so it's really more important for whom creates the giveaway. for you, if you want to enter certain Groups or certain protected giveaways, you might have to adhere to certain ratio limits... or, if you keep on winning, and you don't give away anything, i could decide to blacklist you, or to not whitelist you and so on... little SG drama :D
if a game has been given away in huge quantities, has no more CV, like this one: no effects on creating or winning this type of gibs.
if game has been bundled, game has only 15% ov CV (15% of 2P)
if it's unbundled it's called Full CV, and i'll get the full 2 points. your ratio will change by 2 points.

edit: all that said, you can keep to live your happy-SG-life without caring of CV... !
it's absolutely true that system here is always best for the winner, always thought. i'm not a "normal" SG user, i know, but you can't imagine how many of those winners i have seen. the "SG game" (to me SG is a meta-game) works like that, reaching high levels should mean higher chances of getting games but it's actually not true, is just reaching an higher level.
there's plenty of absurd things (and people) here around, and i am one of them. is it normal to share this much? am i plainly dumb? don't know. my guess is i've chosen a way to be here, you've chosen another one. and those ugly winners, another one. and so on.
for blacklists, exact same thing: you could stay and "play" here for 10 years without caring of them. or make the usual drama in Discussions. think also about "leechers", those with a huge number of wins and 0 created giveaways. they are considered the worst part, worst people here, when, in fact, they are vital for this site.
