I believe that's because the link was posted in https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/yKJ1v/styx-master-of-shadows which has a very low entry count (both, due to the level requirement and the fact that the game is not exactly the most WLed), and so is true for this game. Thus, the visibility for this GA must have been low to begin with, and even of the most bots that must have reached this GA, many might have not been interested in the GA.
All this is just a hypothesis, and I could be wrong about it, but that's the best explanation I have rn.

thanks for the tip! didn't seem like the bots got to this one, and the winner ended up being a legit person. but i'll keep it in mind in future.
