Hmm that is really weird :O when I recieved the key it didn't say anything about region restrictions. Does it say which regions are available? Maybe try a VPN?
What I meant with VPN if you could try using a VPN to use the key. Usually that works, but not sure to which country you should connect tbh. Maybe try germany cause that is from where I am, although it says there is an australian version and a rest of world version. Really weird.
No prob, I thought humble had all that under control but I guess the publisher is to blame but then Steam is pretty tricky these days with all its different regions. Anyway, thanks again.

From my quick research now, the only locked version is australia. You don't live there do you? All others should share the same key. Info is from ForUncut https://steamcommunity.com/groups/foruncut/discussions/13/523898291493466934/ (Some Info is in german but important stuff is in english)
