The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - not exactly the best intro sequence, true, but the first steps in this alien, exotic world were unforgettable. I was just happy to discover the customs and history of these strange dark elven people. Remarkable feeling, which, of course, Oblivion and Skyrim failed to reproduce.

The game has not aged well, sadly. But there's a whole convoluted story in Soul Reaver 1,2 and Defiance. So it's worth playing if you have all 3 games. :)

A pity it doesnt really end with Defiance. And by the state of the IP it never will.

Well, you could pretend that Defiance closes a story loop. That Kain leaves the Soul Reaver for his past self to claim.
That's as much closure as we can hope for, at this point. :(
