Nice. I had a feeling this train destroyed the record for hitting 1k cars.

So, at the moment this is the fastest running community train we've ever seen. Although other trains had a faster start. Will be interesting to see if it can keep momentum and how far it will go.

Also interesting to see the stark differences between trains. Second train seemed very unpopular.

You need to take into account the period of time when each train was organized. The 3th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th trains were September trains, like this one. The 7th consisted of two parts, in August and September.
The mentioned second train, for example, was launched on December, 26th, with all the consequences :)

The time period was not presented in the data here :P The second train has really been placed at a bad time. Still if we just take the September trains, there is still a stark difference.

I should have been here for all of them but I can't remember the train with over 4000 carts. Whoever clicked through this late must have arthritis.

I've published the link on the Google sheets with data on previous trains. In the previous Boring Statistics carts - I think it was in #426.
Alas, there are no details about the participants, not even about the winners, so I can't say who witnessed the trains and who didn't :)

Nice job with the data. I did notice the train seemed to be going forward very fast. Now I have the data to back it up

We could easily have bypassed 4500 had we got 30 days.

The table needs to show that we were halted before then! xD

:) I believe we did incredibly well. 3rd train was wonderfully, unreachably long, and we almost did it again this year! It's amazing!
