Kind of random, but I learned that when an NBA (or WNBA) team has <5 players left who haven't fouled out, rather than the team automatically losing/disqualifying the game, the last player that would have fouled out can remain in the game. If that player commits any additional fouls, however, the other team gets one extra free throw (regardless of whether it is a defensive or offensive foul committed). There have therefore been players who have ended up with 8 or more fouls in a game, although it hasn't happened for a long time.

Today I learned why Pearl Harbor was bombed. :)
