Finally here! Q1 was evil.

In the end Q7 was so easy as searching "fire water song girl band" :| I feel a bit dumb. Your puzzles are evil in many senses, student.
I even feel bad for saying thank you, because all what you want is causing pain and suffering with your puzzles (taken from one of your puzzles). But thanks

Ya know, I never had anything against barbie dolls until this puzzle...

Oh, and since you said this was "For science", here is just a sample of things I tried for the easiest part of the puzzle >__>;
pre-hints : Pain and suffering, to cause pain and suffering, a simple and easy puzzle (+dozens of variants of this), nothing, what promise, not addicted, no addiction, red herring, land, d land, is the promised land...
post-hints: it's easier, easier for me, make it easier, easier, easier to lie, it never gets easier, it should be easier now, it ought to be easier, the easiest thing, (all actual songs), this promise is a lie (lyrics from the song...the promise).

It was worth the loss of hair though. Thanks :P (Honestly, I think I became addicted to the need to solve it...)

Yeah, Q8 was... I need to go out more during the day -.- I didn't get it when I was in that riddle frame of mind when I got the others, and now I just tried to either go the philosophical route or the very literal route ("day" and "everyone" both have a "y")
And for Q1, I was being too specific all the time (tried it with numbers, the composer etc), until my last try finally worked :D

Also for Q7 I was thinking about the song "It's raining men" (which wonderfully coincidentally has beed first sang by the girl band "the weather girls").

It was almost too easy with the new hints!
I was stuck on Q1 and Q7 after the first hints. I actually guessed almost right for them both, for Q7, one of my first 5 or so guesses was "The Hex Girls". >_<
As for Q1 I was on the right track after the first set of hints... but only had guesses with numbers ;)
