Description

I have it already. Go nuts. Don't comment unless you have a fun fact about the animal kingdom or something.

Thanks

Fun fact: There is a variety of gluttonous amphibian known for cannibalizing on its own kind with such gusto that they'll occasionally choke to death eating one that's larger than they are. These are the South American horned frogs, sometimes called "Pacman frogs".

At least eight species of Horned Lizard are capable of shooting streams of blood out of the corners of their eyes. They do this because their blood tastes foul to most canine and feline predators.

Fun Fact: There is a Jellyfish that is capable of reverting its cells to its child stage, making it biologically immortal. (It only dies because of predators or disease.)

thanks for sharing... the lion hunting hound the rhodesian ridgeback hunts in packs to get the lion to sit at bay till the hunter arrives, it also does this by shoulder-charging the lion. other things it does this to include rotweilers, labradors, and joggers... damn that hurt, nearly took my kneecaps off (also ridgies are much brighter than they look. this is not hard)

Octopi can learn to use simple tools. For example, an octopus might find a shell or some other kind of container, and carry it around with it as a sort of mobile home. If it is provoked it will hide in this portable shelter like a turtle in its shell.

Some primates are self-aware to the point that they can recognize their own reflection in a mirror and groom themselves.

Oh boy, lemme tell you about the Mantis Shrimp. Human beings have three color-receptive cones that let us see colors. Just one extra cone would let us see an entirely new primary color and many, many shades and new color combos. A Mantis Shrimp has SIXTEEN COLOR CONES in their eyes. This let's them see a nearly inumerable amount of colors that we cant, or even imagine, mostly on the ultraviolet range.

And they are some of the most viscious animals on the planet. They have two front claw things that can accelerate at the same speed as a bullet from a .22 caliber rifle and strike with about 1,500 Newtons of force. If a human arm was able to move only 1/10th that fast we would be able to throw a baseball into orbit. The speed at which their arm spears of death move is so fast that it instantly boils the water around them, and the bubbles from this boil can create a small undersea shockwave that can still kill its target if the claws miss.
