With a low-pitched creak, the door opens to a destitute cathedral hall in which light is a limited luxury. The windows barely yield brightness since they are draped by the impenetrable black smog outside, and the plethora of candles adorning the benched aisles struggle to assail the pall presence that permeates these stone-cold walls. From narthex to nave, the floor is covered with ashen dust imprinted with the soles of a thousand different shoes. The atmosphere is oppressive and ornerous, in no small part due to the haunting wail, like a dirge of a lorn legion, audible all around you. Perhaps it's the whistling wind that reverbs through this enormous hall. Perhaps it are the spirits of the past, forewarning you of the evil that has taken up residence here with omens and auguries. You decide to pay it no mind, turn it into white noise. Except for one sound. A sound you can't ignore. The sound of humanity.

Loved this game when it first came out on GameCube. I finished it more times than I have fingers on one hand and completed the Mercenaries mode to boot. I guess that, since I've put so much time into its completion, I have no ambition of going through the same motions again on PC. That's good news for one of you though! Still kind of bummed out that none of the original RE4 material made it into the final product. That looked creepy too.
Do you suffer from an "unusual" phobia? If so, which one?
I am genuinely scared of calling strangers over the phone. Funny part is, it only scares me if it's for me personally. My job requires me to call strangers up often enough, and I've no problem with it then. Go figure!

When I was younger I used to be afraid of... the moon - I needed to have my blind lowered at the night, and I generally couldn't look at the moon, especially when it was full, haha. Now... I am only a bit afraid of very big heights

I have problems with phones too :P And with unknown phone numbers. But it's not really a phobia. I'm just not comfortable with that.
Mine real phobia are slims (or slugs). I can't tell why, I'm just afaid of them. When I was a kid I couldn't sleep because of that and I was insanely paniced when I saw some near me. My mom even thought about getting psychologist for me :P

I'm very afraid of anything "medical" - all these creepy medical instruments along with pretty normal equipment, hospitals, pills, surgeries etc. Probably it's not that unusual.

Mildly scared of some kinds of stinging insects like wasps, but nothing too unusual.

I'm extremely scared of heights, water, and topic of death.
I'm also somewhat scared of spiders. Things clustered together in certain ways also gets me pretty good.
I also dislike talking on the telephone. I can speak to people just fine in person, but if I have to call someone on the phone, it makes me extremely uncomfortable. The only exception is if I'm giving someone technical assistance (technology is sort of a safe haven for me).
