Please install this unofficial patch 7.6b. Otherwise you will not be able to run this game on a 64-bit operating system. Not only that, but it would be completely unplayable due to game ending bugs and glitches left after the company shut down shortly after release. This bug makes the game not only playable, but pretty damn stable.

This patch also allows you to change your resolution if you have a widescreen display.

Not the patch, exactly. It's a tool that is installed in the game folder that allows you to select the resolution. It works brilliantly.

When you install the patch make sure you redirect the installer to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\vampire the masquerade - bloodlines
Remove (x86) if you are using a 32bit OS (the patch makes the game much better, but you NEED it on the 64bit OS).
