I'm trying to get my native language in Steam.
I'd like to add Catalan as an official language in the store, so people can find games translated into Catalan.

There are more than 4 million people speaking Catalan as their native language right now.

Thanks, but Catalan is not a dialect, it is a language, as different between latin languages as french, spanish or italian could be.

I always thought that the Catalan belongs to only one part of Spain, and the rest of the country hardly understands it, what makes him something smaller than one national language (national language > dialect > local slang ). Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are half right, it's spoken in Catalonia, Valencia, the Balear islands... But it is an official language, recognized by both governments, Spanish and Catalan and spoken by more than 5 million people. Also, it is the official language in a small country called Andorra.
