right, it's different. is that necessarily a bad thing? the new tomb raider games are different, and i have to say, i like them way more than the old ones.
DmC is a reboot. it's different. but it's also a really great hack 'n' slash game. try it out, and try to see it as a standalone game. don't compare everything to the older DMC titles. it's really nice. and i am sure you will have fun with it. :)
they made Enslaved, which i really loved. awesome story and characters with great voiceover, and beautiful art design. gameplay was great as well (had a little room for improvement, though).

Definitely will at some point, always see it as separate as it's by other people. And ninja theory have a Fair few games to compare with anyway

Enslaved was good got a bit boring towards the end cause of the lack of depth in combat. Lot better then heavenly sword though
