Oh I know how you feel, some people would blacklist you for commenting, so on public giveaways where I don't know the gifter, I usually don't comment a lot either, unless people specifically ask about it in the description or I feel it's a very generous giveaway..

Why do I like it? Well, I give away free stuff to people, it's nice to feel appreciated.. It's like saying "hello" and "goodbye" or "thanks" to the bus driver.. most people don't do that either and they just listen to their music and pretend the bus driver doesn't even exist.. I guess in that example you can argue that you paid for the bus ride and the driver's just doing his job so well.. and you know, it'd probably get annoying for the bus driver if everybody said something (or not, don't know), but still, I'm sure it brightens his day to find out at least some people appreciate his efforts, and I guess I feel the same about giveaways here :-)
