Kinda, every article/game classification I've ever seen on it deems it a First-Person Platformer. I can't say for sure as I haven't played it myself yet, but it's on my to-do!
I do, a lot! My second most favorite game is right there - Psychonauts. Actually it's the first game that really impressed me and showed that games could be art, and not just some fun entertainment to waste a few hours. Maybe graphics and mechanics are a little outdated now, but if you can get past that - its lighthearted humor, fantastical colorful worlds and charismatic characters will give you a great time! I love that game dearly to this day and psyched about upcoming sequel
My hubby said very similar things and has made me excited to eventually (I have a huge list I want to play right now) boot it up and have a blast! (and the prospect of a sequel is also making me want to play it already!)
Nah they aren't outdated at all! They have a unique style, the excellent use of color palettes gives it a nice overall cohesiveness and beauty. I think it looks great even in 2018. Buuuut I'm big on indie games already and prefer atmosphere and aesthetics over actual graphics any day.
That's great to hear! And huge list is good - that means you'll have something for any mood or fancy to pick! And as for this one - no need to hurry, you still have a lot of time to catch up before the release of the new one! :)
