I enjoyed it too! Both part 1 and 2 were really adorable, especially with the shabby, old-school art style.

Dammit, why do you have that profile picture? Why remind me of the best game in the world that will never have a sequel? Heck even just a remaster. I'm going to have to punish you for opening that wound again. Have a blue heart

Lol. Well, because there's no game like NOLF. And it was my first FPS.
But, as the article says, hope springs eternal https://www.criticalhit.net/gaming/gog-night-dive-hinting-no-one-livers-forever-might-return/

Yeah I want to believe, but it's being up and down so many times over the years, I'll wait until there's actually a store listing for it before I get excited. And I agree, there is no game like it. I think it was something to do with the way they balanced the tone of it perfectly. It was genuinely funny and rewarded players who explored with a lot of hilarious dialogue and sequences, especially if you were sneaky. I still remember coming across some guards having a dance party. At the same time it wasn't completely ridiculous and in the course of both games there was a lot of exciting action and tense moments. I still remember nearly wetting myself the first time I played the Antarctic level with the abandoned base. It was scary stuff.
I still play through the games every couple of years, and apart from resolution issues, they actually still hold up pretty well, especially the second one. I think it's because they chose a cartoonish style for the characters, so their design looks like a deliberate choice rather than simply going for realism, which always ages badly.

It's a little bittersweet to be winning this after Telltale's demise, but I expect I'll enjoy this nonetheless, especially as a big Layton fan. Thanks so much for the giveaway and for contributing to making this train such a special experience. :)
