IMHO, this is what SG is all about. If I had been browsing the Steam store on my own, I would have completely skipped past this game. But when I stumbled on it here, I decided to check it out. Turns out, it looks interesting, and now it's on my Wishlist.

edit: To be clear, I'm talking about all of it. The giving and the receiving, like it's Christmas all year long. The social aspect of discussing things, honoring a fallen companion, etc. The discovery of new things (games) you would otherwise never even look at. Plus more. All combine into an experience you can never have anywhere else.

Yes, this is my experience as well. SG provides a better discovery queue for me than Steam itself does. (Which then clogs up my browser when I leave many tabs open to check the review of interesting-looking games.)

There's definitely a community of friendly gamers that share information and a love of gaming with a broadness I don't have through other communities. Our family games, but our gamer friends tend to have similar tastes, so we don't get exposure to all these intriguing short indie games.

And there are so many who provide such useful info and various kindness and all the awesomeness, like iciao, but also all you other people who are awesome. Thank you awesome people, for being you.
