Well, I just like to stimulate some sort of discussion, interaction and socializing in my giveaways... Asking people for a simple "task" is one way to do so.
The specific wording I chose in my most recent ones... Well, just testing out to see how it affects people. I don't mean to be a dick about it - just want to motivate people to try at least a bit and, well, reward them for it!

Hm, the design of that one... Somewhere between crazy prototype and plausible design!

Thanks and good luck!

Thanks for the giveaway and here is the link to an operational-experimental solar powered aircraft. Picked this one since it is the first one to complete a circumenavigation in its class.

Pfft, nerd

Interesting! Everyone talks about electric cars and solar panels on our houses, however, solar-powered planes (and ships and trains) would be extremely beneficial!
Great to hear that an actual flight was successful; I ain't expecting commercial planes to use Solar Power anytime soon, but I do hope the technology continues to improve!

Thanks and good luck!

Quite logical point of view on the subject and spot-on predictions on commercial planes I believe. Nice to chat with you, have a nice day!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Here's the XF-84H:

https://media.defense.gov/2015/Oct/08/2001298483/-1/-1/0/151007-F-DW547-003.jpg

It was a bizarre prototype built in 1955, and theoretically the fastest propeller plane in history. In practice, it was a flying deathtrap; after its first test flight, the pilot stepped out and flatly refused to ever set foot in the thing again.

It looks somewhat normal, but I can kinda get a hint of the experimental nature and why it would have been an issue if it was further pursued.

Can't be a deathtrap tho - the pilot didn't die. :D

Thanks a bunch and good luck!

Google says it is the "Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet".
Definitely like this type of plane look, just something appealing about it!

Thanks and good luck!

First I was thinking I'd post the Focke Wulf FW 189 but then I found one of the first planes made with the idea of VTOL and boy is it dumb looking!
