a little anecdote: when i first started using humble i also used the gift feature. the first game was taken from nowhere, the second was my mistake because i twisted letters from the email and it got to nowhere. also some users reported that the humble support isn't so keen if you use the gift feature for randoms to gift and/or suspecting you as a reseller. ... they also suspect you as a reseller if you name "steamgifts". since then i personally only use keys for gifting games.
