The creature has you pinned against the wall, its claws digging into your shoulders as it leans in closer. Its dark, soulless eyes burn with malice, and its foul breath washes over you, thick with the stench of decay. Desperation surges through you as you suck the candy cane to a razor-sharp point.

Fueled by sheer panic, you twist your body and drive the candy cane into one of its eyes. The creature jerks back, letting out a guttural shriek as a shard of candy cane remains lodged in its socket. Seizing the moment, you stab the other eye, and it bursts in a spray of thick yellow pus, warm and putrid, drenching you in its vile contents.

The creature howls in pain, its grip loosening. It releases you, thrashing blindly. You hit the ground hard but manage to scramble to your feet. Without looking back, you sprint into room three, slam the door shut, and lock it. Breathing heavily, you brace yourself against the door, the creature's enraged roars echoing behind it

As you turn to scan the room, your breath catches. On a bed, peacefully asleep as if untouched by the chaos, lies Spudley
