I figured you might have not played them, just as stated in your earlier GA that you have not played most of these games. I was hoping someone who has played might respond.
However, you seem to know what I wanted. I would have hated to miss out on the story.

They're not connected in any way except that the world is kind of the same and there are references to mostly DS1 in this. You're not gonna miss out, this one was my first DS game, and I played the others after.

Play first Dark Souls, maybe the Remastered version. They are heavily connected in the plot and lore and you would miss a lot. The one you can skip or play later is the 2nd one.

It's also because the gameplay gets better from the first to the third, so it would be silly to play the best one first. It would be a bad introduction to the series. DS1 Remastered guides you slowly to mastering its gameplay so you can play 3 better.

They're just memes, all the Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro are very accessible games and death is part of the gameplay. You can even use it at your own advantage!

Play Dark Souls Remastered. It's not true that they are difficult games, they simply integrate the death mechanics very well so you will die and repeat some sections, but keep an open mind, change tactics and you'll easily prevail.
