It's actually not worth to pick it up at this point in time anymore. The online mode is dead. 100% dead (on the PC), you will only find 3-4 empty servers and that's it. And the game has basically no offline mode.

The reason for that is that the developers completely broke the game balance with the last patches (sniper dominates everything with his 1-shot kills) and now leave the game in this state while concentrating on it's sequel Super Monday Night Combat. It's sad.

I would have recommended the game to everyone a few months ago, but now it's just not worth it's space on the HDD anymore.

On the XBox may it be still good because they haven't seen any of the PC updates for pretty much a year now.

are you for real?! I herd something about that but never thought it was that bad :( I played this game a few times at a friends house and loved it too bad to see it messed up.

You are wrong about the game being dead. I find 2-3 full servers and 2-3 almost full servers every day. I guess it depends on where you live. I think the patches made the game 10 times better(Especially the near-removal of overtime. Overtime was garbage.). I think the sniper is fine, only the best snipers can dominate, and they deserve it for being so good. This is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, everyone should enter this giveaway.

p.s. Super MNC will be the greatest game EVAR!!!!!1!one!!! :D

It's dead easy to dominate as sniper, you rather have to suck big time in order to not do so.
The only thing that can stop a sniper is an even better sniper on the other team. The assassin, although actually supposed to counter the sniper, fails a lot at that due to the flak grenade and ice traps with which the sniper can easily defend against her.

I uninstalled the game after I read in the official forums that not even the newbies from the Summer Sale seem to be around anymore. I live in center europe and couldn't find any server at all when I checked for the last time.

The assassin isn't really supposed to counter the sniper, she is supposed to dedicate 90% of her time to killing bots. If you think it is dead easy to dominate as sniper, then the other team is just bad, which is highly likely since newbs tend to be truly terrible at this game, it has a steep learning curve. The problem with the sniper is that he has a nearly infinitely high skill ceiling, but I rarely have a problem with enemy snipers when I'm a gunner, assassin, assault, or sniper(obviously). Tank has a low skill ceiling so i don't play as him, same with support. It is also very rare that I encounter a truly great sniper, sometimes bad snipers own my team, but that just means I'm on an even worse team. Anyway, I kinda like that the game is unpopular because it means that like 50% of players are actually decent.

Btw, the reason the folks from the summer sale didn't stick around is because they got owned by all the good players(again, steep learning curve. This game isn't for idiots(although they play anyway)). Super MNC will have a "skill ranking" system though, so hopefully the noobs can play with other noobs and leave the real matches to the professionals :P
