Thanks for sharing Obawan.

You're welcome! :)

Hey Obawan, you've won football mogul from me which is an unlucky 7 ga. Unfortunately you do not have the mandatory +7 gift difference in the group. So, according to group rules, you were not allowed to enter the ga. Please agree to a reroll by writing 'I agree to a reroll" here

Hi. I entered as I was on your whitelist, which according to rules I was allowed to do.

Hi obawan, i double checked and you were and are not on my wl...

I am on your whitelist as can be seen here. I have not entered any UL7 giveaways where I was not on a whitelist or part of another group. I understood the rules.

ehm.. I'm not sure exactly what the pic is supposed to prove. Yes, being a group member of UL7 you were able to see and enter my ga. Indeed, also members of my whitelist were able to see and enter my ga. The question is to what group you belong. As I said I double checked my whitelist and you're not on it. I didn't remove you or anyone else for that matter in the past weeks, so you weren't on it before too. Ergo: you entered as a member of UL7. Which would've been fine if you were an unlucky one with 7 wins or less OR if you were a gifter with a +7 gift difference. Both are not the case.
Why are you so sure you were/are on my whitelist?
Comment has been collapsed.
The image proves I was on your whitelist at the time of the giveaway. I'm not sure what is hard to understand with that being the reason I entered. THAT is the reason I entered the giveaway. The UL7 rules state that if you are on someone's whitelist or a member of another group that is included in the giveaway those override UL7.
I saw I was on your whitelist, that is why I entered. I was on your whitelist as the image proves.
If you are just trying to delay giving the game, then feel free to keep delaying, but I was within the rules of the site and the group.

Hi Obawan.
I'm baffled by your logic. And I really do want to understand the way you're thinking. So let's do this. I will give you the game. Period. No matter the outcome of our discussion, you'll get the key. Ok?
So. Now that's out of the way. Please explain to me -as if I were a child- HOW the pic PROVES you're on my whitelist. What the pic proves to me is that you were able to enter the ga and that means you were on my whitelist AND/OR were part of the UL7 group. But I guess you see more in it?
Comment has been collapsed.
The image shows I am:
a. On your whitelist
b. In UL7
Therefore, by the rules, A overrides B.
How is that baffling logic? It's very simple.

I think you don't understand how this site works. If you see a ga with multiple groups or groups and a blue heart it means you're at least part of 1 of the groups/WL. Not necessarily all groups/WL.
You can check this yourself (if you don't believe me) by looking at a multigroup giveaway here. You're part of at least 1 group or WL in all those ga's. Pick one that uses a lot of groups, click on those groups to get a group list and then click on each group so it takes you to the group page. Then click 'users' on each of those groups and search for your own name. With little searching you'll find you don't have to belong to ALL groups to be able to enter the ga, only 1.
You can also check here which is a whitelist-only ga of mine to find out you're not on my WL.

I know how this site works. That giveaway had one group. And listed a blue heart to show I was part of the originator's WL. I was able to join the giveaway because I fit two criteria: the group, and the whitelist. I joined based on being a part of the whitelist as I am allowed to within the group's rules (UL7).
The image shows at the time of the giveaway I was apart of your whitelist and the group. Whatever you have done since is not my concern. At the time of the giveaway, I would not have been able to see it or join it otherwise so I fail to see what is difficult to understand in a. my joining and b. winning the giveaway.
This is getting really tiring. There is nothing difficult to understand here. At this point I think I shall just open a ticket instead of wasting my time talking in circles.

Dude, seriously.
compare
your logic: "I was able to join the giveaway because I fit two criteria: the group, and the whitelist. The image shows at the time of the giveaway I was apart of your whitelist and the group"
with
how the site works (from the FAQ): "When selecting multiple groups, users will only need to be a member of one of those groups in order to have permission to view and enter the giveaway."
see the difference?
Indeed there is nothing difficult to understand as you state. Unfortunately you still don't understand. I can see how you find this tiring. Imagine how tiring this must make me feel...
As promised I'll send you the key. Heck, I'll send it right away as it seems to be the only thing you're really interested in. Please do open a ticket though. And let staff educate one of us in site rules. Please inform me of their answer. I'm looking forward to either give or recieve a massive apology.

I have joined plenty of other giveaways with other groups and NOT been on someone's Whitelist, and it only shows up as the group green button. I have also joined giveaways where it has just been for Whitelists, and it has been the blue heart button only.
In contrast, like with your giveaway, I have joined where I have been a member of a group and coincidentally been a part of their whitelist - as is seen in the image. So BOTH BUTTONS ARE THERE.
You are trying to tell me that I only was able to see the giveaway because of the UL7, then if this was the case, it would only have been the group button. NOT the blue heart whitelist button as well. Understand where my logic is now?
You said I didn't fit the UL7 rules and were asking for a re-roll. I corrected you and said that as I was on your Whitelist (blue button) I was able to due to the UL7 rules.
I look forward to that massive apology.

I've send the key as a token of good will. Shall we call in someone from support then to clear things up?

Greetings, I understand there is a misunderstanding in how giveaways on Steamgifts work.
I've used examples all from the same page on Waxlor's giveaway list to demonstrate how the site lists giveaways.
As you can see on this page, we have three different giveaways I'm using to highlight the differences in which SG lists giveaways.
You can see this same list here.
The first giveaway we'll focus on is EURGAVA™ - Fight for Haaria as this is both a whitelist and group giveaway. You
havehad access to this giveaway, so It thought it'd be relevant to use it.The site lists both Whitelist and Unlucky-7's to the right of Waxlor's name because it is both a Whitelist giveaway and a Group giveaway. It does this to let people know all the various ways this giveaway is being shared.
The second giveaway we'll look at is HoPiKo which is a whitelist only GA.
You can try to access the giveaway here.
If you are on Waxlor's whitelist, you will be granted entry. If not, you'll see a different message informing you that you are not a member of their whitelist. This is the only way to be sure if you are on someone's whitelist. Try to access a whitelist only giveaway that the creator has made, whether current or in the past.
The third giveaway is Dangerous Golf which is a multi-group, whitelist, and level 2+ restricted giveaway. You can try to access it here. The site lists to the right of Waxlor's name, Whitelist, as many groups as it can fit in the limited amount of space, and the level restriction. It does not list only groups you belong to. If you click on the green box, you'll see a list of the groups that it is sent to.
I for example am not a member of Poor but Generous and yet it is listed for me on the main GA page.
The site lists all the ways in which the giveaway in question is shared, not all the ways you have access to the giveaway. I can understand the confusion and I hope this clears matters up a bit.
If you have any further questions, feel free to let me know.
Edit: didn't realize you weren't a member of Unlucky-7's anymore. I'll be glad to invite you to a group and demonstrate GAs being on my whitelist, being a member of a group and not if you'd like. Apologies.

I've created two GAs for the purpose of showing how this works.
https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/y2BmE/neo-now - You are a member of coupon dumpster, as I am. This giveaway is both for coupon dumpster and my whitelist and restricted to level 2.
https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/y7GVK/neo-now - This giveaway is only for members of my whitelist.
You can see these listed on my profile page here: https://www.steamgifts.com/user/keohookalani
Hope this is helpful.

If you look at my image posted above, you will see I was a member of his WL and the Group. I know how the giveaways work. What came into question was the rules of the Group at the time that state that if someone is on the person's whitelist or a part of another group, then this overrides the Group's personal rules.
Waxlor didn't understand any of the above and kept going on about the site rules.
I'm not answering anything further on this as I am still owed an apology by Waxlor and was never in any wrong in the first place.
EDIT: This image: http://imgur.com/a/H7hBK
You tell me who is confused. I was on the whitelist and the group.
Comment has been collapsed.
That doesn't tell you if you're on a whitelist or not. That tells you it was shared with a whitelist and a group.

If you had actually read anything I wrote to you, I'd be happy to continue replying. However, it seems the great effort I went to in order to make it simple wasn't given any time.
I hope you have a great day. :)

The image you keep referring to shows which groups are allowed to enter, not to which group you belong. Yes, the white heart indicates that whitelisted people are allowed to enter, but that is not an indication that you are one of the people whitelisted. When a giveaway is open to multiple groups, a person in any one of those groups may view the giveaway, and viewing it will show him or her all of the groups allowed entry, even if he or she is not a member of those groups.
TL; DR: Just because you see a white heart does not mean you are whitelisted by the giveaway creator.

Hi Obawan,
I admire your rocksteady believe in your own truth. I really really do. Must be awesome to have so little doubt in yourself that there might be a small chance you might, just might, be wrong about something.
I tried. I really did. Why? Because I think you mean well. At least I hope so. But after explaining it all in detail, after providing links to the FAQ to support my claim and after not 1 but 2 (!) members of support telling you how it is.... well if that's not gonna do it, nothing will.
I'm gonna blacklist you now. Not because we had a disagreement and not because I gave you a key to a game that was not yours to win, but because you were rude in the process. And have shown no intentions of correcting that wrong.
I wish you all the best.

and from the FAQ:
Whitelist / Steam Groups
This option allows you to limit the visibility of your giveaway to users of the selected Steam groups, and/or users that you whitelisted on our site. When selecting multiple groups, users will only need to be a member of one of those groups in order to have permission to view and enter the giveaway. Outside users will not be able to access the giveaway, even if they know the URL.
