not much of a deal since since Steam World is still full price at 19.99 for me

Probably will be super duper cheap during summer sale though at the 27th since than everyone always puts everything on sale

I’ve played Dig 1, 2, and Heist and I’m especially fond of the last one, It’s a 2D turn-based tactics game where you need to manually aim every shot (as opposed to XCOM-style combat based on percentages) and it’s a loooooot of fun ricocheting bullets into headshoting an enemy hiding behind full cover. :D

No idea about the kb+m experience, but I played it on a Steam Deck and certainly don’t remember having any issues with the controller. (My first playthrough was on an iPad ~6 years ago and touchscreen works perfectly for this game, if anyone cares :p)

Purchased Heist last time when on sale, so much fun. I love XCOM and turn based games.

How is SteamWorld Quest? Anyone played it? Opinions?

I loved SteamWorld Dig and Heist so I was excited to try SteamWorld Quest. I found it... ok. It didn't stand out in any particular area, but it didn't do anything particularly wrong either. I felt like it was just sort of bland. If the SteamWorld were removed, it would be a pretty average game. It's not boring, it's just that I can't remember a specific feature and, for me at least, it did not stand out.

I played it most of the way through, and I recommend it on sale to anyone who loves the SteamWorld universe of games and is comfy with a linear deck building card battler. Hardcore deck building fans are likely to be disappointed that it isn't as deep as popular card based games. It is not a roguelite nor is it deep so forget Slay the Spire comparisons, but like the rest of SteamWorld games I have played, the franchise's strengths are its narrative, art style, solid well balanced mechanics, and a polished game overall. This is not intended as a hardcore game experience, nor did I find it to be casual.
I stopped playing it in the mid to late game because there was one inherently grindy series of back to back battles, which was odd because it didn't seem particularly rewarding (other than being able to progress the story) and I didn't encounter that type of grind the rest of the game.
Here is my full Steam review.

Thanks for the info guys. Will get it on the Summer sale probably, even though I have a backlog of similar games :)

I'm disappointed that the historic low has only been $17 so far, so for me I don't know that I'd even think of getting it during the summer sale assuming it doesn't hit $10 or less.

You can get the rest of the SteamWorld games for very cheap right now. Assuming you already own SteamWorld Build if not might be a good one to keep an eye on.
