Thanks! Been hearing for a while, the 30s are the new 20s, the 40s are the new 30s, and so on, to me my age is what it is, for better or worse, as long as I try to carpe diem, it'll do.

Yeah, and I REALLY get why people can become jaded with making public giveaways and turn to private / group ones instead, so I won't blame them. But if we all do that all the time, this site will eventually just die, so even if it's once in a while, I hope people can publicly share around.

I was the weirdo who was glad to hit 30; not only is that about when you start to really get it together, you also don't sound insecure when you tell people your age. "Oh, I'm 29!" "Yeah... sure you are..."

I've been in a weird ride regarding people guessing my age. For a long time, everyone thought I had a few years less than I did (funny when I hit 18 and got to vote to a reaction of "but... you look 14"), then I started getting early white hair and suddenly everyone thought I was much older, even getting asked if I was nearing my 40s once. Then it just started to fluctuate and some might go with big guesses, others with low ones...

So last friday was my birthday. It's hard for me to believe, but I'm now less than a year short from my 30 year-old crisis. I'm hoping it won't be worse than any other birthday crisis I've been having since I started hitting my teens, but who knows. Forever young, I wanna be forever young...
In any case, I've been around here only for a few months, but I kinda like it. I don't know if I'll stay for a long time or not, as there are always way too many factors around life that we don't control, but hopefully it'll be a good time meanwhile. For now, I prepared a train to celebrate, which is something I really like seeing around :D
