Do you cook?
Bump. I've been wanting to learn how to cook for quite a while now, but I've had very few chances to do so. I've made a few stuff, but I'm not sure they'd be considered as "cooking". ^^;; I hope I'll be able to learn to cook more stuff in the future, though.
Nice pick btw, the game is pretty fun, hope the winner enjoys it. :)

Just in case you ment because you don't know how or don't have any ideas what, there's plenty of good cooking channels on YouTube where you can get inspiration.
Probably the most fitting for here on SG would be one of my recent discoveries
He also has normal stuff but mostly he tries to recreate dishes from popular TV shows, movies or even video games. I particularly liked the Croque Monsieur from Brooklyn Nine-Nine just because it looks so fucking delicious but he also did a video on Sweetrolls from Skyrim, the $5 Shake from Pulp Fiction or Eggs Woodhouse from Archer.
But it should be noted that he usually tries to make everything from scratch, i.e. for the Croque Monsieur sandwich he makes his own Brioche Bread and that his main show Binging with Babish is mostly fun to watch for comedic puroposes and to get people interested in cooking rather than always being great food. For somebody whose just starting to get into cooking it makes a lot more sense to buy quality ingredients rather than for example trying to make your own Mozzarella ๐
which I'm sure is something he's done at some point
For the basics and more grounded, everyday cooking he also has a different show Basics with Babish.
Jamie Oliver also has a good YouTube channel which is more focused on real cooking. For a beginner I think his How To... series would be the best place to start since they're only a little over 5 minutes long or Cooking with Kids should also have some tasty and uncomplicated recipes.

Oh yeah... and he (Babish) has a thing for Kosher salt. It's the only salt I've seen him use in any of his recipes. Granted, it has a slightly different structure with larger flakes but tbh in my opinion that's mostly a Hipster thing, that has become popular over the recent years. Any salt will do just fine.
Apparently TV chefs are just like that ๐ Jamie Oliver has a fetish for cold pressed, virgin Olive oil that borders on the unsettling ๐

Ohh, I've watched a few of Babish's vids before!! He has some good content! Thanks for the recs, I will check them out! :) I've watched some cooking vids before but I haven't tried actually making most of them myself due to certain circumstances. Hopefully I can try them out soon after I move out next year though!! I'm quite excited about it. ^^
About the salt/olive oil thing, LMAO I do notice some chefs have favorite ingredients and sometimes they add it to their recipes just because. XD Thanks for the tip! :o
