How do i get my youtube out there?

hey everyone i made a thread a few months back, maybe longer about my newly started youtube and it still hasnt really gotten anywhere and i see people's who have WAY more subscribers and views than i do with around the same time on youtube as me...
I've already advertised it here and id rather not make a whole bunch of threads advertising it to get people to watch, so let me ask you people who have a bit of subs and views how did you go about getting that? if i really should just advertise what are some places i should do it at?

You can also pay a company on retainer to 'seed' your content to the net via all sorts of social media channels. I currently do this for 7 advertizing agencies in Canada, 2 agencies in the US, and 3 unique YouTube channels.

I started this company in January 2011.

I offer over 250 unique networks to get your content some views, and from there it's up to your IP to keep the numbers rolling. (Obviously there is options to get a retainer going and keep these channels open.) Ad agencies usually commission my company for 3 - 4 months on active campaigns, and I even have 1 company on a yearly retainer and I handle all of their "Media seeding"

Anyways. I digress.

TL;DR: If you want more viewers/subscribers. You either find a company that can get the word out about your content, You yourself to the research and try to get the word out, and the main thing.. make sure you have some good content.

This video had 11 views as of 12 noon PST today Jan 20/2013.
