Yep, you guessed it, the 25th of December is my cake day! So to celebrate it, I'm making giveaways for a lot of leftover game keys. Some games are good, some games are bad.

Important: Do not comment on any giveaways unless you have something interesting or funny to say, or you have some question. Thinking that you're funny and posting "Something interesting or funny" in multiple giveaways will earn you a blacklist. Sorry, but I'm getting a bit tired of people not respecting this wish. Generic thanks messages are also not welcome.

Anyway, you can enter the giveaways here. Basic SG-tools check.

If you enter for something, then please give this thread a bump. I might also make more giveaways as my cake day approaches, so keep your eyes pealed.

And here's another one. This time it's really quantity over quality!

It's 3 AM here as well, and I can't sleep. I had planned to fix my GA-making script and create these tomorrow, but I could not fall asleep, so I made this.

happy upcoming cakeday & thump!

there aren't any bump links in the GAs, I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I thought I'd mention it

I should have made a the thread and hidden it before I updated the script. That way I could have linked back to it automatically. Now I'm too lazy to fix it ;)

A nice bunch of games you're giving away! Thanks for them :)
(Anyway, you entered SG while Christmas? How was that?)

It was for a forum giveaway, so I did not really get to experience SG back then, just giveaways posted on a forum.
(Also, for me it was the day after Christmas, we celebrate it on the 24th here)

Well, let's celebrate you started feeling SG the right way now then! If you allow me to ask, why do you celebrate on the 24th there? Is it a country tradition?

(Only read this part around the 25th of December) Happy cake day!

Country tradition.
There are two theories in regards to why we celebrate on the 24th that I know of:
When Sweden became a Christian nation they counted days a bit different to the rest of the Christian world. Instead of starting a new day at midnight, a new day started at sundown, so Christmas celebrations would start on the evening of the 24th (which was when it turned to the 25th) back in the middle ages. But then the way the rest of the Christian world counted days was introduced, but the tradition of celebrating Christmas on the evening of the 24th remained.

or:
Celebrating with a feast on the 24th of December was already an established tradition from pre-Christian times, and when Christianity was introduced to Sweden, they kept the old day of celebration, as it made the transition easier. This would be a similar reason to why Christmas is celebrated on the 25th to begin with, as it simply used a previously established holiday in the Roman empire.
There, more information about Swedish Christmas traditions than you ever wanted to know ;)
