I read some of your posts and really liked it! Will mark for reading/watching more of it. Keep doing that (not every day tho, like many here said)! I'm on your blacklist for some reason but bumping this anyway so more people can see it and enter the gibs. Have a great 2017!

Like the previous guy said, they really should allow for notes on this stuff, cause it was so long ago I don't remember the reason.
You've been removed.

Thanks a lot for all these awesome giveaways! :)
I was thinking about starting such a blog as well... Is it worth doing? I know what You said but... Was it a good experience for You? Did You have many people who were reading your blog? Were they commenting as well? I hope it's okay to ask these questions.... I'd love to know how was it.
Have a nice day! :)
I'd also like to wish You all the best and a lot of luck in this New Year. Let it at least not be worse than the old one :)

I think it's absolutely worth doing, but it's important to keep your expectations realistic and know that starting from the nothing can be very very demoralizing if you're doing it purely for recognition. To put things in perspective, after a year of doing this, I have a grand total of 100 subscribers. Views are typically in the double digits per day, and that's after a LOT of self-promotion on Twitter and elsewhere. You have to do it for yourself first or you won't stick to it. Getting people to care is hard, even if you're good.
I've gotten a LOT of great feedback lately, but that's only after reaching the end. The positives? I set an absurd goal at the beginning of the year and I accomplished it. I have a huge portfolio ready for whenever a job opportunity comes around. I also established a really productive routine that makes me want to accomplish something every day.

That's very nice. Looks like it's not for me though as I always have bad luck and no motivation...
Thank You for your reply!

This is awesome. I've kept it bookmarked to read through more reviews later. Well done on sticking to it! And thanks for the giveaways!

So, I've gone back and forth on making this post because I fear it's going to be super self-serving, but I wanted to share with everyone a recent accomplishment of mine. Also, I have a LOT of keys to give away, so that evens out the guilt a bit.
I've been a frustrated writer for just about as long as I can remember, and I've found it extremely difficult to make any sort of mark on the frequently changing world of games coverage. 2016 was the year when I just said "fuck it" and started my own blog, with the goal of writing about video games every single day in 2016.
Well, I did it. Not all of it was great. I don't think it's possible to write that frequently and have all of it be quality. Some personal issues in the middle of the year also forced me to miss some days, but I always made them up in the end. As of 11:59 on December 31st, I had covered over 400 video games in either written or video form.
(In a related note, I don't recommend anyone else ever attempt to do this.)
So yeah. Just something I thought some people may find interesting. The most recent post has a list of what I consider the best pieces I wrote last year, so you don't have to trudge through an index. I do intend on continuing to put out stuff in 2017, albeit at a much more reasonable pace.
But for now, I need a nap. Have some games.

Edit: If you're blacklisted, chances are I don't remember why. Leave a comment and I'll probably just remove you. New year, new chances.
