Not saying anything against the deceased, but people seem to be forgetting some things. Steve Jobs hadn't contributed anything (technologically speaking) in the design or production of any Apple products in almost ten years. Steve Wozniak (his partner & co-founder) heads all the product design and development. Jobs was just "the boss" and head of the marketing department (he left Apple in the 80's to start his own company that failed, so when he returned to Apple [presumably with his head down] in the 90's he'd fallen "out of loop" with the current (technological) development of the company.).
So to those thinking the company is going to start depreciating in quality, and to those calling him a genius inventor, just remember that he INVENTED an overpriced computer in the 80's that nobody bought, then went on to SELL overpriced products that everyone bought. Technological genius? Debatable. Incredibly influential salesman? Definitely. Should he be remembered as Apple's one and only contributor? No. Most definitely not.

The greatest achievement of Steve Jobs was to simply realise how shallow, meaningless, utterly worthless void peoples lives had become and convince them they could overcome their profound depression by belonging to an exclusive, elite, master race of consumer whores so long as they gave up all associations with any other product and obeyed every utterance as divine mantra

yep, convincing hemp 3/4 length trouser wearing, latte quaffing hippies, that a company involved in heavy metal pollution, with a horrible environmental record and no charitable donations to speak of, was actually a really groovy tech movement. i cant stand all these morons and their gushing relentless crybabying. its a wonder without thinking for themselves how these people are able to brush their teeth in the morning.

I may have had my differences with his products, but he was a true genius. RIP.
