Who would win?
That movie doesn't look very good.
Temmie owns what's arguably the most powerful item in the Underground but sells it because she doesn't even need it. No contest.

I mean, as far as I recall, hasn't Superman got like, powers to ex-machina himself from any problems? I recall seeing him having super-sewing (or maybe that was a hoax)
I don't think I'll see the movie in theaters, I'm pretty saturated with superhero movies lately (they are the new zombies)

Ehh I think the definition of fanboy can vary from person to person. Of course there are people who will refuse to listen to anyone else's opinions on things, whether they're a fanboy or not.
Tbh the only thing I'm THAT passionate about that I could say I'm a fangirl of is Harry Potter. I'm obsessed, it's been a big part of my life for 16 years. I accept that a lot of people don't like it/think it's just for kids, but I'd joke and say "you're wrong" for not liking HP without being serious. I think people are missing out who don't like it, but there's a million different things people are super passionate about that I don't understand/care about. I normally think of fanboy/girl as a positive thing, where you can geek out about something you love and joke around about how people are dumb for not liking it, but not actually mean it. Only on the internet have I seen it be a negative thing where it's trying to offend another person or get really weird with harassment for not liking something.
p.s. I've always thought both Batman and Superman were lame compared to a lot of other superheroes ngl. I've always been on team Batman tho just because I adore Harley Quinn, The Joker, and Poison Ivy.

First and foremost, as a fellow Harry Potter fangirl, have a ♥.
The harassment is absurd (and it's coming from both sides). Sometimes I feel like the Internet is this giant high school, and half of its adult people go back to being angry teenagers whenever they join a discussion online. Words such as fanboy, troll - are used so often and conveniently to dismiss whatever opinion doesn't fit that person's very own point of view, they have very little meaning as far as I'm concerned.

A fanboy to me is a person who can't but most often doesn't want to make a distinction between the reality of how some things are and what they want them to be, resorting to all kind of dysfunctional arguments and behaviors to defend the reality they are married to.
Of course since such reality can be subjective, it's also the inability or unwillingness to recognize that other people may have a different point of view or opinion, and that's totally fine and doesn't make those other people inferior in any way.
That is not denying that some opinions are more articulated and better substantiated than others, of course, not all opinions are created equally, fanboyism is all that which is negative stemming from the attempt to forcibly impose the fanboy's views.
I call someone who's really passionate about something that's not strictly theirs, like a person, group of persons, product, entertainment, etc simply a fan.

Exactly. So many people regard fanboys as extremely deranged and accuse them of articulating in discussions solely to defend their preference. While some fanboys are undoubtedly utter trash and an eyesore to deal with, it seems wrong to regard every other fanboy in the same light. It also sucks that people use the trump card of calling someone a fanboy just to discredit valid criticism. Eg.
1 : Hey YouTuber XYZ, why are you doing this? It's wrong man. Please don't do it again.
2 : STFU, he can do whatever he wants with this channel. Go back to your Youtuber ABC (rival) channel, stupid fanboy.

Eh, Batman is a great example of the Popularity Shield, where he overcomes hurdles not because he can but because the writers want to. It's funny when someone doesn't care about it like Geoff Johns and portrays him accurately. Same goes for Spider-Man whenever he gets dragged into the big fights.
As for what fanboys are… probably the ones who keep arguing even after you supply evidence that they are wrong about their loved whatever.

A fanboy is the one who is able to deny the undeniable about his favourite show/serie/etc. And will probably answer to your reasonings accusing you of being a fanboy.
And, btw, I'm a Supernatural fanboy. Don't criticize it. I could catch your life in your sleep.

Being Casual #6 Being Casual #1
The absolute argument has always been this.
"Who will win? Batman or Superman?"
But the answer doesn't matter at all. Whatever side you choose, you get called a troll if someone chooses otherwise, and a fanboy if you defend your stance with facts. Its kinda messed up, because all debates in matters like this one ALWAYS end with everyone pulling their daggers out, ready to gut the other in the throat.
But that discussion can be tabled for another time. I brought this up simply because of how people use the word "fanboy" so rampantly to reduce credibility in a person's arguments, as if its the equivalent of a teacher's pet; that it always clouds said person's judgement. Its bloody ridiculous.
So let's start from the beginning. What, in your opinion, is a fanboy? Is it a person who is obsessed over something so much that he isn't willing to accept that people can hate on it? Or is it something else?
And tell you what, let's go one step further. What do YOU fanboy over?
Oh, and grab some gibs.
