welp, it's not that I like Portugese artists, I just sometimes find something what is interesting for me and just listen to it. before I knew only one band from Portugal and it was Moonspell (doom/black metal xD) but the same situation I had with Greek music, only song Zorba and band Rotting Christ o.O I'm strange -,-
edit: btw Dan Riverman has amazing voice, so deep, like it even though I'm not a woman xD

oh yeah. I'm a metalhead but Moonspell is terribly overrated and most of us are quite saturated with 'em.
Moonspell and Corpus Christii (black metal) are the most famous ones and its unfortunate that we have great artists that have no support or means to be known outside of our underground scene.

when I've read 'Yugoslavian rock band' my initial thought was 'punk' but it's rather, hmm, rock/post-punk/new-wave and it's nice! really nice! and to the subject of punk, I noticed that Americans don't have real punk there, in my opinion real, brutal punk existed in post-communist countries. Poland, Slovakia, countries of old Yugoslavia. polsih punk band Siekiera and Dezerter, another band

Yeah, they were the new wave, Belgrade rock scene, you can freely say psychedelic rock! :) As for punk, yeah, those plus England :D
Siekiera is real nice! I like the raw sound of it. If you are into punk, check these out!

I'm not into punk so much, but sometimes I like to listen and to go on some gigs :D and, of course, I live in nearby Bieszczady mountains in Poland and there punk was everywhere in times of socialism/communism :D

for me punk is great to drink and party on gigs xD but hangover next day may be almost impossible to survive xD once there was a time on rockfest (with great amount of punk bands) we were drinking pure spirit (94%) only with cherry juice xD damn, best and worst experience ever xD

nice playing :D it reminds me about Cieszanów Rock Festival in Poland (in brief: CRF), because there is two stages, big for main stars (for example last year Helloween and something else, I don't remember xD) and little stage for little bands not only from Poland, one year there was a band from Belarus called The Toobes and that was funny because vocalist is a drummer :D and it reminds me this because these little bands often plays similar style to Houba :D
