I still have no idea what keys they are referring with me as I certainly haven't bought anything from store. Unless it wasn't free...
EDIT: Might have been: HUMBLE WEEKLY SALE: POPCAP TITLES FROM EA
Which I redeemed Steam key, but not origin.
Not sure what I do with 2-4 copies of my Origin bundle games ;D

Reveal them and unlink your Origin account? Then you should be able to do whatever you want with those keys.
8 year old bundle, maybe just get rid of them? Give them to friends or strangers. There's a few discussions (anti ninja key drops, orphaned).
p.s. The link in your post goes error 404 (at least for me)

I guess nothing, since it seems BUNDLES are NOT affected by this

You can see what Origin keys you have in https://www.humblebundle.com/home/library and then filter the platform to Origin. Not sure if it will show any games/keys you haven't revealed though.
I've read that EA/Origin will also redeem keys for games you already own. May be safer to unlink your Origin account if you have unredeemed keys (or keys where you don't know the status anymore).
Only Origin key I had from Humble was Mass Effect Legendary Edition from the latest Choice bundle and I've redeemed that.
What could possibly go wrong? 😲
If I had unrevealed or unredeemed Origin keys on Humble, I'd assume I won't be able to reveal or gift any of my Origin keys after March 18 2022 5:00pm PDT. I'd reveal everything before then and record the keys offsite. And I'd unlink my Origin account from Humble before March 17.

thanks same Mass Effect is only one i had and already been used

Thanks, that is quite handy.

Can I assume if "Origin" does not appear in the "Platform" drop down menu that it means I have no Origin keys?

It does say old bundles are fine but it's been so long and I've nearly forgotten about them (stuff from Humble Origin Bundle). So just activating away on my end.
That said, already have Dead Space so here for a random who may run across it.

Am I the only one wondering why the hell key validity depends on it coming from the store or from a bundle? :s
Comment has been collapsed.
It could be the source of the "key"/how they're provided.
I've bought a couple of Origin games from the Humble Store, and neither provided a key: game activation was direct to my Origin account, which I had to link to my Humble account.
I've also bought a couple of bundles (years ago) with Origin games, and both of those bundles included keys for the games, which I redeemed on Origin like I would for a Steam key.

Ah ok... their wording is wrong then, as they say "you purchased but have not yet redeemed game keys"
Comment has been collapsed.
You have until March 18, 2022 at 5:00 pm PDT to redeem any EA or Origin keys before they become invalid.
That's bad. Very bad. That sounds like EA will be revoking all unused keys they distributed to Humble. Or Humble will no longer have a pool of Origin keys to distribute meaning unrevealed keys can't be replaced.
Humble also uses "Hide redeemed keys and entitlements" in your Humble library. But that means unrevealed (unredeemed) on Humble and not unredeemed at the game's platform (Steam, GOG, Origin, etc.) So it's a little confusing. I have doubts about what may actually happen. Only my uPlay games say "Redeemed to xxxx".
Need more info from Humble and EA.
Also very bad of EA to dump this on authorized stores without announcing anything to their customers and users. And such short notice.

I believe it's the latter since EA's killing it's awful origin app and replacing it with an even worse EA app...

I'm guessing this applies to everything not just HB

Due to events outside of our control, Fanatical will no longer be offering EA titles on our fast-growing store.
So please activate the EA games within your account before the 18th March 2022, as the link between Fanatical and Origin will be deactivated then. We apologise for the inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please contact support@fanatical.com. Thanks again for being an awesome supporter of Fanatical.

True. Same applies to Ubisoft Connect.
Some games I own twice on Origin and Ubisoft Connect. For example, by buying the vanilla version first and then after some years, buying the deluxe, gold, ultimate, whatever version later. With Steam, vanilla gets upgraded. With Origin and Ubisoft Connect, you actually own both games/versions :-/

With both Uplay and Origin allowing you simultaneous duplicates of the same version of the same product, it can get a bit silly after a few free promotions (see attached). With Steam, the licenses actually overlap, flagging any included apps as owned, but it's possible to toggle between the licenses using the deletion function through the support page. So even there, you do still technically own the base game multiple times, you just can't access it more than once at a time. Nevermind that even though each app can only be toggled once by any number of subs, some games do have themselves associated to multiple apps, which can still allow you to have the same game in your library multiple times.
Steam's approach (outside of how the association to multiple appids is handled) would seem to make the most sense, but both Steam and Uplay have regional versions of games with exclusive language configurations, meaning that Uplay's approach can actually let you toggle between owned Chinese-language and English-language versions without having to fuddle around with support pages, deletions, file copying, and so forth. Ultimately, it's hard to say which of the three approaches is most user-unfriendly... ...but given that Origin took 5 loads before it let me properly log in to take the following screenshot, present moment has me leaning towards Origin, just by way of association. -.-;

Speaking of this.. Are there any news from EA? I mean apart from the app, they'll keep using this or it's been confirmed it will be like Ubi that activates straight to account?
Comment has been collapsed.
I will xD
I hope they don't turn like Ubi.. It's pretty much impossible to gift them that way :(

Unfortunately, we can no longer provide any keys or refunds on Humble Store purchases of EA titles after the March redemption deadline has passed.
They took your money, made profit out of it, and now they refuse to take any responsability... No error, it is real HB amazing communication.

It's too soon though. From the e-mail to the deadline.. It's not far fetched for someone to not notice this.. It's barely 1 week

probably nothing, you install EA Play Desktop app which is way nicer and smoother. Also looks good, let's you import friends from Steam, Xbox and Playstation! If you're using Game Pass for PC then you'll need EA Play Desktop app anyways to install games through subscription.

Has anyone else noted this part. It's significant to me as ALL my Origin cdkeys are from bundles on the humble bundle page and NOT from the store.
It's kind of a big deal as it could be EA's own set of cdkeys so it not a linking from fanatical/HB to origin.
I would like to know if anyone can confirm this is true that bundles are exempt.

I have been boycotting EA since 2011. Nothing lost.

I'm sure I bought dragon age origins directly through steam years ago and it came with an origin key. Does anyone know if this works with other EA games? I can't seem to find the menu where I originally found the key in my steam settings. Got a few games in fanatical bundles that I thought might have origin keys attached to them as well. Probably wishful thinking.
Comment has been collapsed.
This used to happen untill they discovered a bug in that EA subscription on steam (long story short you could create unlimited origin keys by using many trials and 0 lvl accs)
You can send to Origin support though and show them ownership of the game. They usually add it from steam to your Origin account
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for letting me know, I saw someone say they could not send screenshots so I wonder what's the best way to show origin support?
Comment has been collapsed.
Keep pushing them.. If they don't open up a form or ask an e-mail address you can always yolo a service like imgur to post them the link
My problem is different with them but I have no time to deal with it now (I'm moving), Steam refuses to launch and link Origin............................. So it's impossible to link those 2.... origin claims they can't do anything manual about it -.-

Go to your games library in Steam and right click on the game. Then go to "Manage-->CD Keys".
I have a cdkey for Alice Madness Returns in steam and I'm sure the cdkey is Origin.
The game works as is. But Should I be redeeming the cdkey also in Origin? I'm not sure what to do with it at all.
Comment has been collapsed.
This no longer works, these options have been removed from steam. Seems I'll have to contact EA but honestly it's not worth it anymore. Got the games on Steam and that's enough for me.
Comment has been collapsed.
Glad to hear it, I was only looking in steam for the manage>CD keys and couldn't see it (where the origin key was before.)

It still works completely fine on every EA game I own. Rather, I don't believe there's any way to disassociate the key from your Steam purchase, even on EA's end, as it's part of the license you've purchased, itself [as is the case with any physical copy CD keys you may have activated on Steam, back in the day]. Rather, publishers moved away from supporting external cd key association after a point, so any newer purchases you've acquired may not have any keys associated to them to begin with (but any older game license activations still should, if they had any secondary key association to begin with). Edit: This seems to have an accurate list of the Steam games that have associated Origin activations.

Thank you, I was not aware of this.
I just tried your guide and was able to find a key for Alice Madness Returns and activate it in my Origins account.
To activate it in Origin.
As I was not aware of having this Origin code in Steam. I'm interested to know:
Are there any other games that have such Origin keys?
Comment has been collapsed.
Looking through my library, any game [of those I'm aware of as being EA games- eg, Burnout, Alice] released on Steam prior to 2015 (with the singular exception of Mirror's Edge) seems to have an associated key, while none of the games released following that date are showing one. So I'd assume a majority of older keys would have one, while no newer keys would.

So far the games I found that have an Origin key in Steam are:
I was able to activate most of them.
Proof: See my library with the tag New for games I just added
Comment has been collapsed.
That matches up prety well to this, so I assume we can just reference this page for the list of linkable games then:
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Origin-redeemable_games
All the ones listed there that I own, including the ones showing "contact support" [eg, Crysis], are showing CD Keys for me, and seem to activate fine on Origin regardless of whatever special circumstances the page may mention (as, I see, Amalur did for you, despite the page mentioning that it wouldn't work).

Dragon age origins - Awakening
same here for
Mass Effect (has key, but not working for me. For me it shows "Requesting key...")
I was never be able to activated on Origin with the CD KEY from steam
Command & Conquer™ 3: Kane’s Wrath
and
Battlefield: Bad Company™ 2
But i never have any issue, the games works even when are not showed on the Origin Library. More or less the same for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning it was activated on Origin the 1st time y play it but it is not showed on my Origin library.
