DS1 was boring, didn't play DS2. The controls were horrible in DS1.

BUY THEM NOW YOU FOOL! :D In all serious-ness Dead Space 2 was better than Dead Space 1. They're both good games though, if you like third person shooters.

Get them, they are totally worth it. Couldn't finish any of them since I got my pc formatted, but I'm planning on downloading them again.

It was okay. A decent game, and nice atmosphere and story concepts, but aside from that, I didnt't think the gameplay was that special.

But I suppose it's worth it.

Both are good but I find neither scary. Like some people here have said they use the jump out and scare you tactic which wears out pretty fast and it becomes easy to spot when it's going to happen.

I got dead space. But I don't like the third view perspective. It's really hard to control in game. I didn't stop to look in the setting to see if you could change the view.

I was thinking about getting it too. Not sure If I should bother, I have plenty of other games to keep me entertained for a while, but sure I'd probably end up getting it anyways at 2.50 for the first one it is kinda a bargain.

The first is a fairly good game. I enjoy the gameplay well enough. The story is bleh and it's not really all that scary. It focuses on the 'jump out to scare you' sort of thing that isn't really that good. Which is fine with me. I hate horror.

That said, the second game is MUCH better. I really liked the second game. I played through it about 3 times I think. The story is actually fairly solid with some actual characterization of the player character (I hate the silent protagonist thing a lot of games use. I have yet to see a time it really works in a story-based game in a way beneficial to the game). The environments are well designed, and the entire thing is quite fun. The multiplayer is... meh. Not bad, but not that good. But it's easily worth $5 for the whole game.

Both are great games, definitely worth the $5. I liked the second a lot more. Multiplayer is meh so do not buy it for that, but its a fun addition

I got both before the sale and I really liked deadspace 1 although the controls can seem rather bad at times and the aiming gets a bit weird, I read its only a pc problem since it was a port. I am liking ds2 as well, although, I preferred it when Issac didn't talk and there is so many more options on gear and stuff that felt unnecessary but i guess it was there since it has multilayer and deadspace 1 doesn't.
