First vote for racing!

I had to vote racing even though FPS and open-world TPS have my most hours on Steam.

The racing genre is the only genre I semi-systematically hunted down games in my library to play or banish as crap.

So while my game play/completion on Steam is low, like most everyone else who has more than a few dozen games, it's almost certainly the highest for the racing genre.

I DON'T SEE SURVIVAL!!!!!

Honestly don't have a favorite genre, I just go through stages where I'm more into certain ones.

My all time favourite type of games are fighting games and beat em ups. I like to kill stuff and hit things in games =p.

I really love many genres for different reasons - diversity is a thing that I enjoy generally,
but I voted for Puzzle because I like the most to be mentally challenged.

Bug-Free!

edit: as for the genre... not so much my "favorite" but i spend the most amount of time in RPGs & Survivals.

Steamgifts answers that question pretty well.
Strategy and RPGs are my tier 1 genres. Have always been.

For those wondering, your chart is available here (scroll to the bottom). Red is you, gray is average user.

Wow, that's a lot of Simulation. I guess that's due to Football Manager. :)

It should, but I'm not actually sure if Steam/SG cover the FM series as simulations.
Instead I see Crusader Kings 2, EU4 and Stellaris having the simulation tag. And Euro Truck Simulator 2, naturally. :p

I would think CK2 and EU4 are Strategy-- you have a lot of that too. Admittedly, I didn't pore over your Steam library. :p

I answered point-and-click, but I can enjoy almost anything story-based, except for anime

Of course horror games don't count as "stealth", people who think they do should feel bad ;D

Styx: Master of Shadows
Volume (well, kinda? It's more top-down than first/3rd person)
Thief (the original trilogy and the 2014 one)
Dishonored
Splinter Cell games (some of them, anyway)
Hitman games (not my favourite, personally, though some people do love them)
Velvet Assassin is pretty decent too...

Hack'n slash games.

I hate fedex quest in open world in all games, The Witcher, Fallout, skyrim and more are open world with a lot of fedex quest like MMO/RPG in 2006.

Point and click master race, preferrably combined with adventure. If it's from Daedalic Entertainment too, then it'll be the perfect game. ^_^

Couldn't find fighting genre (like Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, the King of Fighters, BlazBlue, Skullgirls, etc)

RPG, as in the actual "able to influence the game's story and customise the character's in-game abilities to a degree" role-playing games, not "gain XP and loot to make it easier to kill every enemy on a linear path" hack & slashes.

I guess "adventures" because every genre can be an "adventure" and every game is an "RPG" nowadays.
