Well. Another of the obligatory posts that I miss on SG.

For this sale I found:

SUPER MEAT BOY - $1,50
THOTH - $0.99
Half Life - $0.99
Portal - $0.99
Super House of Dead Ninjas - $0.69
REFUNCT - $0.98
Princess Remedy 2 - $0.50 (you can try the first one for free)
Escape Goat - $1.24
Mini Ghost - $0.79
MURI -$0.51 (very good Apogee style platformer)
LOVE - $0.74
Commander Keen - Complete Pack - $1.24
Wizorb - $1.01

Any others?

EDIT: Your recommendations with the original comment

  • A real hidden gem that deserves more attention.
    SQUIRM - $0.59

  • I love roguelikes so I am biased, but this one is fun. I have played it 6 hours, which for 60 cents is one helluva deal.
    DungeonUp - $0.49

  • iI is cheap enough now that I will likely take a chance on it. :)
Vampire The Masquerade Redemption - $1.50

I finish the game last week. it's really good. It's not Doom, despite people comparing it and it have replayability terms of the story.

I've mostly bought all cheap games I like in the past, but I second Escape Goat from the OP at $1.24. Excellent Game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/251370/Escape_Goat/

I bought Fidelio Incident at $0.99 during the sale.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/632070/The_Fidelio_Incident/

also bought Open Sorcery at $1.35
https://store.steampowered.com/app/585180/Open_Sorcery/

Had Qbeh-1 in my cart, but didn't buy. It's $0.99
https://store.steampowered.com/app/252550/Qbeh1_The_Atlas_Cube/

and it's probably been mentioned 100 times above, but I just noticed Portal is $0.99 too

Have you played The Fidelio Incident yet? If so, what did you think?

Not yet. I noticed it's a 10G download so was waiting to download until I was ready to play it.

possibly the best bang for the buck on here!

Also - The Orange Box is a bundle that includes five titles from Valve: Half-Life 2; Half-Life 2:Episode 1; Half-Life 2: Episode Two; Team Fortress 2 and Portal - is on sale for $2.27 CDN, so probably around $1.75 US

that works out to 35 cents per game!

So far I picked up:

Oknytt at $0.49
The Deed at $0.49
The Room at $1.24

I also have my eye on:
Replica at $1.49
Reigns at $1.49

Looks like Replica is part of the All Stars X bundle, so you can get a bunch of games for a little bit more than buying it individually.

The original Room game is my favourite so far. I think I preferred tinkering with beautiful little objects before the horror elements kicked in for the sequels.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned One Finger Death Punch yet. It's actually one of the highest rated games on Steam and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Don't you always find the usual suspects during a steam sale?

I can't remember if I've commented, but wanted to say thanks for the thread.
I love discovering new hidden gems to play.

I bet someone here has already recommended this, but try
A normal lost phone $1.75
It can be finished in one sitting but I had a fun time with it.
The ost is also pretty good.

Shelter and Shelter 2 is (cheaper at indiegala) for $2 for both games. ($1 each)

I have my eye on this one https://store.steampowered.com/app/578890/Selatria_Advent_of_the_Dakkrian_Empire/

$0.49 for a 20 hour, voice acted RPG sounds good to me.

Death's Hangover - $0.49
I really enjoyed this Breakout style game with a funny storyline. Has a demo.

Verdict Guilty - $0.74
2D arcade fighter themed in Neo Seoul. I'm not a fighting game expert so i can't comment on controls or hitboxes. But it has a demo so you can see for yourself.

While i like both games, you should know that both were available for free on the chrono.gg coin shop at one time. I still recommend them however.

Alpha Protocol, the espionage action-RPG developed by Obsidian (the guys behind Fallout: New Vegas, KotOR2, etc.), is on sale for $1.49 (90% off).

https://store.steampowered.com/app/34010/Alpha_Protocol/

Strikey Sisters is only $0.99 right now (50% off). It's a fantasy brick-breaker (similar to Wizorb) that really nails the look of classic Super Nintendo games. Fun gameplay and a good amount of content (including a set of challenge levels that open up after clearing the main quest). Recommended.

If I see anything else worth passing along, I'll add it.

Please give this game a chance. It's horribly broken gameplay wise, but its RPG mechanics are definitively great.

It's not very deep, but it's fun. Each run will take about a half-hour or so, on average. Good game to squeeze into your schedule when you've got a little time to kill in between doing other things.
