Hello fellow gamers!

i'm searching people for a steam group i just created and would love to give some of you the chance to join it! Keep in mind that most my giveaways will come from humble bundles or other type of bundles. So in case you get those anyways, there is probably no need to join, since we probably share the same games.

now the rules, cuz the group is closed off.

1) Don't be a d*ck

2) Follow steam and steamgifts rules

3) Be level 3+ on steamgifts [www.steamgifts.com] (or know me personally/well online)

4) Actually play the games you win.

5) Be rather active in overall steam (see in the info below)

6) If you don't follow rule #1 be aware to be kicked out faster than you can think.

Also, be aware that maybe not everyone will be taken in, and i dont want to add more than 250 people for now. Maybe 500 if alot of people join. I want a rather small group to give a high chance to people to actually win!

Applying:
1) Follow the rules and join the group -> https://steamcommunity.com/groups/mahrysgiveaways
2) tell me your favorite animal and why
3) let me know a passion/hobby of yours
4) name a game you love and one you hate (the "hate" part will not limit your chance, dont worry!)
5) the last/best book you ever read
6) tell me a funfact about ANYTHING!

Info: Once i have at least 50-100 people i will start a group only GA! i will try to keep the more valueable/popular/expensive games to the group GA instead of the open ones.

Fav animal: Fruit bat. So cute and spooky 🦇
I like gaming and travelling. I geek out on game theory and Kingdom Hearts lore lol.
I like Returnal, the roguelite shooter game. So smooth gameplay and sounds. Weak on build variety tho.
I dislike grand strategy games. I respect them tho, but there are too many options at all times, it stresses me out xD
Last book was Ascendence of a Bookworm #xx. Chill and satisfying series about a book lover being reborn into a world before books were common place. And there's magic!
Fun fact: Astronaut suits actually cool them down. The body heat becomes too much in a closed environment.

  1. Done!
  2. Pandas, because they're the friendliest bears, and they survived by doing a lot of foolish things.
  3. Creating pixel art, writing stories and worldbuilding, and exploring any series, anime, movies, or music.
  4. I love the first Bioshock and any farming sim games like Stardew Valley, State of Decay 2, Civ 6 and Overwatch 1. I hate Overwatch 2
  5. The last book I read was The Witcher: Baptism of Fire
  6. Due to the high rate of rape in duck society, the female vaginas have evolved to have numerous pathways that resemble a labyrinth in order to trap the sperm of unwanted mates.

  2. I don't have a favorite animal, as I just like animals in general, but I am quite fond of cats, especially the big cats. They're majestic.
  3. Besides video games, I also enjoy reading.
  4. I love Tetris. I can't think of any game I hate specifically, but I could say I hate the trend of live service games and everything that comes with them.
  5. I just reread Dune in preperation for Dune: Part Two. I hardly ever go to the cinema, but for this I will make an exception. Even people who didn't like the first part have been impressed, so I can't wait to see it.
  6. Fun fact: Hans Zimmer, had an offer to do the score for Tenet. He was was also offered the chance to score Dune, and he couldn’t do both. Despite the fact that Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer have worked together many times, Zimmer chose Dune over Tenet, because of his love for the novel.

To your steam chat question, no. I just want to see you are activly playing your steam games. And it wasnt like 6 months ago that you played anything. Just stuff like that, to make sure you actually play wins and don't just grab games here and there.

My favorite animal is a tie between doggos, meerkats, and the glorious capybara

A passion/hobby of mine is tech, be it tinkering, modding or repairing PCs or Consoles

A game I love is Final Fantasy X, mainly because of the story. A game I hate is Final Fantasy 8 (only because the junction system and discovering how broken it is ruined the game for me)

The best book I've ever read was Financial Accounting (boring, I know), as it has helped me more in life than most other things

Fun fact: There are estimated to be more Earth-like planets in the Universe than grains of sand on Earth

Hi,
1) Applied.
2) Cats because they are special and adorable.
3) Games, Steam.
4) I love Assassin's Creed Origins and I hate Outlast. It scared me so much that I deleted the game from my account.
5) Poetry by Pushkin.
6) The Earth revolves around the Sun but our eyes tell us that the Sun revolves around the Earth.

2) doggos. I love my French Bulldog. She's a sweetie. My parents now own a Dachshund and we used to have a Boxer when I was young.
3) I like doing creative stuff. Trying to make my own game (still researching tho)
4) I love ABZU & Journey. I admire them as works of art. I highly recommend them to anyone. As for hate... Palworld makes me really mad. Actually its success, not the game itself. Such a mess. I could talk for an hour about why that game is pure garbage but I'll just recommend BeatEmUps' Youtube video(it's not really only about Pokemon).
5) Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon. Helps with my imposter syndrome.
6) Apple uses Samsung displays for their iPhones (lol)

1.Ok

  1. Dogs. They are loyal, affectionate companions that bring joy and comfort into people's lives. Their unwavering loyalty and ability to form strong emotional bonds with humans make them truly special.
  2. Programming. I find immense satisfaction in coding and creating software. It's like solving puzzles and building something functional and useful at the same time. The endless possibilities and constant learning keep me engaged and passionate about programming.
  3. Love: The Metro 2033 series. The immersive post-apocalyptic world, compelling storyline, and intense gameplay make it an unforgettable gaming experience. Hate: Trove. Despite its colorful and creative world, the repetitive gameplay and lack of depth fail to capture my interest.
  4. "The Psychology of Stress" and the Metro book series. "The Psychology of Stress" offers valuable insights into understanding and managing stress, while the Metro series combines thrilling adventures with thought-provoking themes, leaving a lasting impact on readers.
  5. The shortest war in history lasted only 38 minutes. It was between Britain and Zanzibar on August 27, 1896. Zanzibar surrendered after its palace was bombed by British ships.

my favorite animals are cats, I like running, as for the game I love - its "The Secret of the Monkey Island", and from the newer ones, "Elden Ring".. I do not think I hate any game, but I had no fun playing was "Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z". Its hard to pick one book, so I will go with one of the most recent ones Ive read which impressed me much - "Black Prism", and I think that most people do not know that Venus is the only planet to spin clockwise :)

1) Will do, just did.

2) Right now my favorite animal is a Tuxedo Cat name Dani. We rescued her last year, and she is our first pet who prefers my wife instead of me, and I love watching my wife daily embrace and welcome all the love Dani is giving her.

3) My passion is being a musician, especially playing, creating, or arranging new music on the piano.

4) I love the game "Witcher 3". I "sort of" hate the game "RIVE", not because it's a bad game, but because it's just too hard for me and makes me want to pull my hair out, lol.

5) The "last" best book I just read was last month, called "Lessons in Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus, it's really good. The best book I've EVER read was "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" by Stephen R. Donaldson.

6) I love to tell puns/jokes: "Elephants have ears. Never mind, that's irrelevant (ear-elephant)."

2) Cats, they are lazy and always want to be petted.
3) I'm into video games and am too lazy for anything else in life.
4) Among recently played games I really liked Chained Echoes and still have an aftertaste. I hate Battlestar Galactica Deadlock because of its stuffiness and monotony.
5) The Alchemist Paulo Coelho.
6) Once an item is filed, there is a 98% chance it will never see the light of day again.

1) one!
2)up close and personal - cats, my family had cats for a long while. On a wish-level, crows, they are super intelligent and it would be awesome to befriend some!
3) Reading / going down weird rabbitholes to learn about weird stuffs. Even if it's just TIL / fun fact level things
4) Life is Strange. Hated: XCom the Bureau, for the dysfunctional teammate AI.
5) The last finished book was wh40k's Ravenor Omnibus I think.
6) Through some loops and many, many years, the funding of the Anglican church lead to the Boston Tea Party in a more direct way than one would expect (through Guy Fawkes' gunpowder plot's failure [against the Anglican monarch King James I] being celebrated in Boston through increasingly protest-like, vandalism-heavy Pope Night celebrations, that got aimed at the British Empire for the treatment of the city / state

  1. Turtles! I grew up on a beach where sea turtles nest. So a lot of my childhood, I was surrounded with turtle imagery. Plus they're really fascinating animals (and weirdly, one of the only reptiles that doesn't creep me out)
  2. Lately, I've been streaming as a hobby. I want to keep at it so I can stream fulltime! Shameless plug: https://www.twitch.tv/CakeGremlin
  3. Fell in love with Hollow Knight. So much so, even after completing the game to 112% (yes you read that number correctly), I still keep coming back to it as part of a multiworld randomizer! As for an intense dislike, I have to give it to Elden Ring despite its extremely high popularity. I don't think the Dark Souls' formula works with an open world design in the first place, and even worse I think E.R. has a poorly designed open world to work with. By far not the only problem it suffers from, but it does serve as the root cause of many of its other issues.....it's a whole thing 😅.
  4. The Lies of Locke Lamora. It's charming, mysterious, and creative. I love well written characters and good world building, so this had my name written all over it.
  5. One Piece notoriously crossed the 1K episodes landmark. However that number is dwarfed in comparison to the children's show, Sesame Street, which is currently only two episodes shy of 4700, will celebrate its 55th anniversary this year, and is still making episodes.

4) Oh gee this is very difficult. I love the ace attorney games among others, and uhhhh... hate games that need a full controller, since my controller is a super famicom one due to my little hands.
5) All of the discworld books! or anything written by Terry Pratchett, for that matter.

5) I don't really read books.
6) Most sharks are ovoviviparous which means the eggs hatch inside the female's body, before the young are born. Sometimes the number of pups is less than the number of eggs that were fertilised. Do you know why? Cannibalism. The pups start eating each other within the mother's womb the moment they hatch. Right from the moment they hatch, they start eating each other, viewing everything they see as nothing more than prey.
