That game was quite morbid and disturbing. The game was more mentally disturbing than the thought of Mario slaughtering innocent animals. Go figure. I mean, the thought was always there, but they decided to not only bring it up, but bring it TO LIFE in that horror of a flash game.
PETA is just making things worse, god damn.

That's how PETA operates. They exaggerate situations to their most extreme point and claim that their vision of it is exactly how that particular situation happens 100% of the time.

PETA is a complete joke of an organization. They would honestly rather kill animals than let them be used in testing, and they do this because they label the animal as "unfit" for adoption. Apparently PETA thinks it's "unethical" to kill animals and use the bodies for food or clothes, but it's completely alright if the animal is killed and the body disposed of...as long is it's them doing it.
End Rant

I've always found PETA to be major Hypocrites regarding the way they act and the way they think. Apparently just because something isn't cute and fluffy it isn't alive, or worth protecting.
What about a game about cotton getting harvested by the thousands and you play as a person getting chased by a farming truck? Or having a game where you're dismembered by a sunflower? Or even a game where your children get taken away, killed and used as decoration for fruit photographers?
Plus the whole situation of body disposal is very facepalm worthy.

Hypocrites isn't even the word for this bunch, I am a vegetarian and these guys are beyond insane.

In all seriousness though, did you guys see that video on their website? It's horribly disgusting! They using Mario games to raise awareness though is stupid.

They find it more offensive than MW3, and as I recall you kill a rat with a knife (I haven't played it). Its over the top, I sort of understood their campaign against KFC (they treat the chickens pretty badly while they are alive). They also have a vegan cooking mama game where cracking an egg causes it to bleed, is that morbid or what?? Imagine if a child got emotionally scarred by any of these games?? In general PETA is a bunch of fanatics. Some days I question if they would actually take a human life to save an animals.

you know, they have a SMB game with Tofu in it, if i recall correctly, SMB has got Tofu in it as a playable character
but anyway, what is the point in this organisation other than to make stupid games that have no real standing in the world, like their sea kittens one for fish, telling people that they should take fish out of water and pet them like a kitten... no PETA, no... that only hurts the fish and damages their skin with natural human hand oils, or some such

Stop linking to these jerks! That's exactly what they want.

If it helps, their video of northern europeans beating up Tanookies made me hungry.

Are you kidding?
...but seriously, I kind of liked it, but it won't make me support PETA at all.

Here's a great "documentary" on PETA by Penn and Teller

I love PETA because I think they make some valid points and I agree with their stand about animal abuse and such, but really, they do take things too far that aren't even really an issue. For instance, this Mario thing isn't even a thing, yet they're trying to make it a big deal. >.>
Why is it that things that are intended to be good and do good things get so corrupted and overexaggeratory?

PETA wasn't corrupted, it was always an organization that revolves around over-exaggerating. The Humane Society is who you should like. They stand against animal abuse, but not all of the extra useless crap.

isn't PETA the one that get's models to pose naked saying and picture them, then make it a caption with something like "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" under it? Or am I thinking of someone else?

No, you're correct. They're planning to launch a pornography site in the near future.

You're right, they are the ones to do that, but half the people they get to do it are hypocrites who actually sell their own line of fur clothing, or aren't vegetarians like PETA, etc.

I support people and groups who have similar views. I support Th Humane Society, too, and not everything PETA does is bad, it's just that they have a tendency to overexaggerate and make huge issues out out nothing. I don't agree with some of their messages and the ways they try to get them across, but I do still agree with the fact that we need to treat animals with a lot more care and respect than we do.

Maybe it's because you're all here online but I'm fairly sure most people in real life have no idea how fucked up PETA is, but yeah it is basically a hypocritial, proto-terrorist organisation, that cares more about animals than people and just makes other people who care about animal welfare look bad. I mean people already posted the Penn & Teller video and the PETA kills link, now this one story I think is the worst and may or may not be included in both: They kidnapped a little boy's pet dog by threatening the father with false charges to make him hand over custody of it and then put the dog down. Then of course there was their recent porn efforts have a site filled with naked women and slaughtered animals - seriously what crowd are they trying to appeal to? Serial killers?

From MSN Game News:
"PETA thinks Mario's fur-wearing ways are offensive and has — just in time for the launch of "Super Mario 3D Land" — launched its own campaign pegging Mario as a killer of innocent animals."
Here's the game they poorly put together to alert people about Mario's evil doings.
Seriously, what now? Can these guys get more ridiculous? I admit I laughed at this one over how absurdly forced it is.
They could've at least made something about the Turtles being step on. Apparently they would rather have animals killed over having them used.
