-15. That's the number of wishlist games I bought at <$5 or 75%+ off. Best sale in years.

sighs Steam disappointed me hard today. Was expecting a last day with some featured deals that didn't happen during this entire sale. Instead they made a boring community choice and 12h deals. Not to say some days were boring too.
Sure we had a few surprises like new releases from 2-3 months ago for 50% off or close (Evil Within, Civ, Borderlands..) but still those don't feel that great for some reason. Civ and Borderlands feel a bit like they could have been cheaper at it's initial release price to start with. Don't feel much exciting.

A bit sad but at least our long and slowly drawn out suffering it is finally over. Until next Spring/Summer sale, that is!
The sad thing is that so many games had better deals during Fall sale. Case in point: TRI: Of Friendship and Madness was 33% off during Winter, but barely a month prior it was 75% off.

I know people complain about every Steam sale lately but this one really was weak. Most of the games I was waiting on didn't drop below 50%.
I even crafted a Holiday Sale badge instead of selling the cards like I usually do because there was hardly anything to buy.

"best deals"
Its sad i bought more games in fall sale than in this sale.

Also why are the Baltic countries included in the same region as CIS region countries when we are in EU, Eurozone and all that crap? Shit we even pay for our games in Euroes not the unpredictable Rubles.

Temple of Osiris has been 50% off at GMG and HB but not steam. lol Maybe pubs are getting a bigger cut selling games outside of steam now or something. I know Steam "suggests" all prices including sale prices, so idk what's going on other than Valve is getting greedy.

Agree.
The only really sweet deal for me was getting Mark of the Ninja with about 80% discount, which I'm really happy with. The rest of the sale was... nothing to write home about, as they say.

Oh, was it? It's a shame that I don't really keep an eye on bundles, then! O.o
But as you said, Mark of the Ninja is a game I really don't mind paying for :)

Ya, black flag was 75% off before xmas, after I got my Christmas money I was hoping it would go 75% off again during the encore but nope.... so no money for ubi now... maybe I'll get it during the summer sale.

I almost completely dodged Halloween sale, In order to spend all mah monniez at the Xmas sale, but it didn't work out for me lel... I've seen better deals.

Publishers and devs set discounts now. We should start a new thread for each publisher so we can let them know how unhappy we are, that'll show 'em.

I bought more this sale then any other in the past 3-4 years so I'll leave you to your sad little pity party.
(BTW I looked at your wishlist, if you don't think you bought enough cheap or heavily discounted games then that's on you, they're there for the taking.)

Somewhat bizarre way of handling the last two days, but I guess it's good for those who missed the previous dailies? But then what about those that missed the community vote and 12 hour sales?
It all just seems like Valve is doing weird observations on buying habits (again).
I really can't complain about the prices though (I mean, I got Flight Simulator X for $20 off), since my limit for most everything now is $5 and I have most everything I want. The real problem is so many were expecting way lower prices and it seems like a lot of these prices were seen before in previous sales, on Steam or elsewhere.
That, and all the recent trading restrictions and completely awful auction thing.

Agreed on "expecting a lower prices".
I was waiting for them first few days, then I just went buying old games with good discounts, while my wishlist didn't get any discount bigger that -50%

Some publishers be like:"When we set a 15% disscount people will buy the shit out of this game" f.ex. Game of thrones by ttg or The Forest... The only thing i bought was Speedrunners to play with my friends.. Mh, its was definately a bad sale. Holiday sales were really great and big,but this year it sucked :/

Wow, you want 50% discount on a game that was published two weeks ago. You are my idol Sir!

Are people still whining about the sale geez when this nightmare will ends?

Eh I don't see a big issue besides half the community vote stuff. And as far as events go, last year's was rage worthy.

I don't remember last year event at all. But I will remember the gem market crash for sure.

well it was mainly getting a few exclusive in game items, and the accomplying inflation of the rarer stuff's prices during most of the sale. The Summer sale's team event was rather infamous as well.

Unless they're just being really slow loading stuff, community voting is over and so are 12 hour deals. 2 day Encore sale is all that is left. I have to say this has been the worst Steam seasonal sale I've ever seen. Even the Halloween sale was better.
