Someone mentioned the Faerie Solitare giveaway in the CAG Steam thread.

Someone mentioned it on pcguru.hu, the forum of a Hungarian gamer magazine.

A friend of mine introduced me to the site.

NeoGAF, a giveaway link for DE:HR was posted in a thread there with 'pretty good odds of winning'. With only three other entries my first entry on SG was also my first win.

Someone on another site's forums mentioned a steam group for this site which has the rule that the group does not exist. Didn't join the group (I mean, how could I, it doesn't exist) but got the link for steamgifts through that thread.

Through SteamGameSales. (However, I'm not sure where I first read about SteamGameSales.)

snlehton (rochard dev) was doing some rochard giveaways and had linked some steamgifts URLs to the official Rochard group since I was thinking about buying it, so I signed up and entered for some of the rochard giveaways
