Getting the most wanted game from there is a puzzle indeed. One that I haven't been able to solve so far...

I might do that, as I've wasted too much time on this...

I wish. They not only think fast, but act faster.

Yup.
What I don't really get is people managing (one way or another) to get a key for a game and then coming here and making a GA for it.
I mean... you get trickled down points on Alienware, you have to fight bots for a few keys, and you turn around and just give it away for fictional currency you don't really get anything out of?

It's unbelievable! Even if they manage to automate most of the process, it's still too much of a hassle to just give it away like this.

Right? And really for what? There's not much you can win on SG these days that is better than a brand new game you get for free on AW
Some people are just pursuing CV and levels on SG as if there was an open vault of gold editions at the end of it...

Dunno. I'd like to think that at least some users are not creating GAs simply to pursue CV but because they enjoy sharing nice games with others, but maybe that's too idealistic of me.

I'm one such user. I'm a Poor Gamerโข and on a pretty limited budget. AWA is the best and most reliable way for me to get full CV keys to share here. It's realistically the only way for me to give back and participate in this site within my means, and without being a complete leech.

Yup. They should just increase ARP prices, at least for the expected most wanted. The most wanted game is usually obvious and has consistently be gone within minutes if not seconds. And yet it's often barely more expensive than the other games...
They should also allow people to get a second game after a few days (or even just on the last day of the month), so that leftovers help reduce the available ARP pool instead of just going to waste. I don't remember which game it was, but a while ago I remember wanting 2 games from the vault, I got my favorite one (which soon went out of stock), but my second pick remained stocked until the end of the month and I had the ARP for it but nope ๐คท

I think they already raised it in general so lets not raise it more. Opening it up to more then one game after a couple days is a good idea. Let people spend arp if they have it if the game did not all go when it opened. There has been at least once I would have spent more arp on a second game that remained avail.
I got the DLC this time. I got the base from them 10 months ago when it was in the vault.

I like both ideas, and I hope they implement them, even more if the old, overpowered artifacts come back.

That would be the best way to ensure only bots get the game for real.
What they should do is go back to some form of giveaway instead. Determined by chance and not by a subatomic speed contest with bots.

This month was particularly lopsided as far having a single clear "most wanted" game versus a bunch of cheap indie games with at best mediocre reviews. Past months weren't as heavily tilted towards one game. For e.g. March had Nightingale, No Man's Sky and Pacific Drive, all 3 of which absorbed some of the demand. It's also evident that they had very few copies of No Rest for the Wicked in stock this month considering that it sold out in less than 3 seconds.
I agree with your suggestion to allow users to claim a second game after a certain waiting period to flush some of the excess ARP out of the system. Next month is going to be a bloodbath since apparently many users passed on grabbing a game this month.
I think they should also add some sort of captcha to throttle some of the script users who claim games in less than a second. It doesn't have to be one of those annoying reCAPTCHAs. They already spend time designing a new arcade game every few months, so I'm sure they could come up with a simple, unobtrusive captcha mini-game.

In July of 2023 the prices started to go up to 5k ARP depending on the game and if I remember correctly this is about the time where there was a general decrease of overall ARP by a lot across the board and artifacts started to become very relevant.
Before that Hogwarts Legacy and The Last of Us Part 1 were only 3,800 ARP, which were two of the top games in the vault.

Actually managed to get a game from my wishlist this month ๐ธ
Open Road's so it's saved me a bit of cash ๐๐๐ค๐ค

Got that game too. Not very positive reviews. I guess its most likely because of the price and how short it is (+ lacy animation when they talk). But thought it would be a nice game if it was for free :)

I got Open Road, but it says Open Road for Beta testing =/

It's a full game key, even though it says that, so it shouldn't be revoked. If there is an issue just reach out to the AWA support team.

Thank you for confirming. I came here to see if anyone else had the same concern.

You're welcome. Sometimes the original plan is to use those for actual "Beta testing", but devs end up just using them for full game keys. It's definitely more common now a days to see that. If these types of keys were being given away on some wierd no name site, then I'd be more wary.

Differentiation between release retail keys and keys for beta testing harkens back to times when games were pressed on CD/DVD as a physical media and day one patches were still a futuristic concept. Nowadays with online distribution prevalent it's completely irrelevant as every key allows you to access the latest build.
How today's game development is handled you're still a beta tester with a retail key after game is officially released.

They should just choose games that are older but more desirable, and add them again just like they did with Diablo 4. This month only No Rest for the Wicked out of stock, there has never been such a situation before, where almost everything was available many hours after opening the vault.

the game arp point costs are insane and it takes well over a month to be able to afford one so each month every player has less after saving for years. the calendar also gives way the fuck less arp

Because at the beginning the vault start time was in the middle of the night and in the middle of the week for Europe, I had no chance of getting any AAA game (the next day there was nothing in the vault), I managed to do it only for Christmas 2023, when they released Diablo 4 again. Therefore, I currently have over 27,000 ARP, but I haven't been interested in any of the games that can be obtained for a long time. That's why I wrote that I would love to see games like Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3 or Hogwarts Legacy again.
