I drove 13 hours to my family. Every year to spend some time with them, sing together, laugh together just relax and have a beautiful time. I don't care about capitalismas, I don't care about gifts, I always say to them that their joy is my biggest gift and no money can buy that.
We still gift each other stuff... tradition they say.
Anyway beautiful introduction in the OP Maru, I wish everything positive and love and joy back to you. Stay healthy and regain the energy for your upcoming exams and studies :)

Aww, the Christmas spent with the family is the best kind of Christmas!! Presents are nice, but being together with people you care about is what Christmas is all about, to me. I took a train to spend the Christmas with my dear family, but it only took two and a half hours, so it was nothing compared to your trip. Anyways, I wish you Merry Christmas and everything good and joyous, my friend Dysthymia!!

If that's the way you enjoy spending Christmas, it's totally okay. Not everybody wants to spend Christmas with other people, what's important is you tell the dearest people they still mean much to you and enjoy your own time. Aww, I'm sure she would want you to have a merry Christmas even though she's not there with you. You should both enjoy yourselves even though you're apart from each other, making the best out of your lives each respectively!! Merry Christmas to you too, my friend Cynaris!!

And I already know I won't get much presents but one of them is a 1 year entrance to a gym where I can do my sport, so I'm perfectly ok with it ;) and yes I know what I'll get, because Santa is my BFF :P ^^
