Yeah, but that was before DayZ. Nobody cared about it then, and after DayZ dies, probably because of the standalone game, it's going back into obscurity.

the war z is simple online shooter more like cs, dayz as based of the simulation of warfare is far more in-depth in every possible aspect of gameplay, so no, the only things in common are 'z' and zombies.
