Well, build your own bundles and sales yield more money than $15 plenty of games bundles. It's all about profit like with any other business.

Exactly my point, I'm not aware that you can give more than 5% to charity when buying from the store or any "build your own bundle", so you pretty much agreed with me ;).

Again, I don't think this applies to the humble store just to the usual game bundles.

They might prepare a bundle for the Christmas week together with a sale.

I ended up buying XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns just so I can finish what I started on PS3.

I am broke as crap for now, so short of a bundle or something like that, I can't get much. Honestly can't even afford the bundles.
Played and beat all the final fantasies from 1 to 12 between NES, SNES, PSX, PS2, and Gameboy, but not played any since then. Wanted to though.

You're well ahead of me. I almost finished XIII on PS3 and wanted to get back to it ever since. I tried Type 0 HD on PS4 but it never got my attention enough to get past the 15 hours or so invested in it.

The older ones already show their age. I'd wait for a remaster before trying them. Was about to buy some during last SE sale until I looked at their in game images then cleared my cart immediately after :).

One game I REALLY would lose to see a 3d remake of it, Star Ocean 2 from the PSX, that was actually a really good game. Would also like to see them remaster other games of it.
As for the stuff they have on Steam for Final Fantasys older games, they are crap on steam overall, they didn't remake it for PC, most of them are shitty direct ports or it was ported to IOS/Android and then they did a lazy port of that to the PC. None of them were meant for PC in the slightest.
If you want to play the old games, you will get a better experience with an emulator and rom than you will with the steam versions. The GBA remakes of the NES Final Fantasy 1 & 2 games are decent upgrades over the NES games of it though. Especially when it comes to Final Fantasy 7 and so, PSX emulators are better than the steam ports.

Well at least they remade the FF X and FF X2. I only heard good things about them. Got the pack during the last SE sale but I'm still waiting for the moment when I have enough time to invest in them.
As for the others, the older ones, considering the current fan base (after all these years the games were on the market) they'd get a lot of money in return if they were to remake them but I guess they're too lazy to do that.

Pretty much, Final Fantasy 1 has been ported from the NES to the Gameboy to the Playstation to the Playstation Vita to Android/IOS.
Final Fantasy 3 US is actually Final Fantasy 6 which has also been ported to all of them plus the IOS port was put on steam and so on. And the greedy bums still want $15 for it on Steam.
I believe they even made their way to the Wonderswan.
If they actually did a full remake of them for the newer systems instead of lazy ports, they would make a good chunk of change from the older users.
Never tried the Steam ports of FFX but now that I think about it, I did miss out and not play X2. Tried the port of FF7 years ago, definitely wasn't worth it, the actual emulator was far superior to the port.

One thing I am surprised they never did once.
A Humble Free-2-Play Bundle
where you end up getting like extra character slots and titles on the Terra game, maybe something similar on Rift, maybe some stuff on TF2 and so on.
I figure it would be loaded with stuff especially from games wanting to use it to get more attention and user base. How well it would sell on the other hand would remain to be seen.

I have seen some with maybe something small for Team Fortress 2 or something but never seen a whole bundle devoted to paid stuff for free to play games.
Figure a bunch of the game developers would be jumping to throw something onto that bundle for added publicity for it and some of its users spending for some of it if they throw in some uniques through it. Like maybe a "Humble" title on some of the games or custom skins or mounts or something for the games.

:D The one from 2015 was okayish with the Age of Empires Expansion and Psychonauts in the 1$ Tier (back then I didn't have Psychonaut keys from 3 different Humble Bundels yet) but I always find it quite annoying to find somebody who can make use of the non-steam stuff.

Or you know... buy what you can afford. If you can afford 5 dollar tier 2 bundles AND pay rent then do that. Don't tell people what they should be doing.

I don't know what you mean - the super awesome Yogscast Jingle Jam bundle is already out!

No, their bank still charges them $15 a month to keep their account open.

Most, but not all, banks in the US do. It's one of the reasons credit unions are becoming increasingly popular.
Either way, it was a joke, I don't think HB has to worry about something like that :p

they only charge poor people. If you have even a fairly low amount of money, they don't charge.
Some banks have a minimum as low as $500.
Alternatively, direct deposit + 2 transactions per month waives the fees.
Not exactly rockefella territory

Different banks have different thresholds, and for different account types, I imagine. I've been charged before at about $3k in the bank.

What is NMS? Not needed to be AAA, but something better than activate and hide titles, enough small sites already offer these potato games. Coz rebundles and other bad titles i have in backlog 200 keys without any use... all with cards activated to card drop, other and games i already own are for ages in file... why we still more and more? ;_;
