It's not really scary :/ just plain creepy :( the levels got harder and harder each time especially in chapter 4 full of soldiers but you have to be stealthy with nightvision..So far I've completed 28 levels :)

you mean Metro? well scary/creepy both being subjective, idk about you but I definitely had moments of scary when one of those.. things would jump right in front of me, or roaming around in the dark not wanting to use the flashlight to alert anything, or too scared to run around to the other side of the wall where the brute wanted to smash my face in. you know, as scared for playing a videogame anyway...

I did NOT enjoy the library part of Metro2033 at all. That was fricking scary. I tried to kill all of these things in the end, so they wouldn't creep me out any more.

I feel like the third is a disgrace to tthe series. Wouldn't even say it's worth checking out unless your a big fan.

Really, nothing. Maybe he was playing in broad daylight, with friends, and sounds muted. :|

I didn't get spooked by it either, and I usually play games at night. There were a few jump scares that got me, but those don't really count.

Yeah have to admit that's right, but nothing sort of "nothing scary".

Cry of Fear mod for Half Life 1. Or wait for a standalone release.
Some people say Afraid of Monsters (by the same guys) is scarier, but I find AoM boring while CoF scared the crap and piss out of me.

Long? How are they long? CoF is about 4-5 hours on your first playthrough. AoM might be a bit longer since it's sometimes hard to figure out what to do, but you should finish it in about 7-8 hours.
This is the same length as most video games these days.
Also, Cry of Fear is getting a standalone release on Steam next week. 24th of April 2013 to be precise.

I played most of them from 1994. to 2006. and this is my best horror games, deal with it. Excellent horror atmosphere, excellent stories (except Silent Hill 3 for me), excellent games. I do not need more. I play them still today from time to time and these games are 10 times better the 99% games released today in any genre.

I was always terrified of Putt Putt: Saves The Zoo. There's this one part that gets me everytime, where Putt Putt has to travel through a swamp and there is a crocodile that jumps out of the water! The monkey DOESN'T HELP YOU.

Alan Wake, not a kind of Shock-Horror, but like a playable Stephen King book.
And Sim City for Origin of course:-) (will burst your nerves more than any other title above)
