Best Horror Game

Id say dead space 1 and 2, silent hill 2 and 3, system shock 2, amnesia, suffering are the best for me so far.

Holy Gave, this game is scary as... Shit, there is basically nothing so scary in this world, so I could compare it to. It's is brilliantly crafted brutal survival horror, that will fuck you up like nothing else. I still wake up in the middle of the night and cry, when I remember about this game.

Amnesia

I'm never typically phased by anything horror related, but playing Amnesia in a darkened room, wearing headphones nearly necessitated a change of underwear on many occasions. If you want horror Amnesia is certainly the game to go for.

Nothing comes even close to Amnesia. Good runner up is Silent Hill 2.

Edit: Oh, and Penumbra.

I don't know about the best, but ones that actually managed to creep me out are Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Fatal Frame 4, and Ju-On: Haunted House Simulator (even though it was really clunky). There's some others, but that's all I can remember right now.

The Shalebridge Cradle level in Thief - DS was pretty fucked up. The build up to that level was awesome.
