most memorable soundtrack you ever heard in a game

Two that no one has mentioned yet are Castle Crashers and BattleBlock Theater.

Gutted to see no one mentioned Grim Fandango. Such a unique soundtrack.

The ending credits for Dark Souls 2 soundtrack was pretty awesome.

Balamb Garden → (OST from FINAL FANTASY VIII) ▬ Nice, Calm, Soft

Anyway FINAL FANTASY series has many excellent soundtracks,
but.. I think Balamb Garden is best memorable game soundtrack for me

Guild Wars and Elder Scrolls! Jeremy Soule worked wonders with those soundtracks.

This is DEFINITELY my kind of threads. I assume some of you may have realized by now that I love great and memorable video game soundtracks due to my "Guess The Video Game Soundtrack" puzzles... :P

So, here's the list.

• Trine/Trine 2 - A wonderful, relaxing and mystical selection of tracks.
• Cave Story - Another great selection of original soundtracks. 8Bit, but sounds amazing.
• The Elder Scrolls Franchise - Come on, you expected that one. One unforgettable soundtrack after another.
• Assassin's Creed Franchise - Many subtle but yet amazing soundtracks.
• RollerCoaster Tycoon - Nostalgia...
• Bastion - VERY good soundtracks. Heck, I personally thought the soundtrack was half the game.
• Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball - Hell. Yeah. Terrific soundtracks.
• Super Hexagon - DU-DUGUDU-DU-DU-DUGUDU-DU-DUUUUUU-DUU-DUU-DUUUUU!

There are many other tracks I could name right here, but I won't. I'm going to bed now, not tomorrow. :P

Max Payne - The Fall of Max Payne OST

Transistor, Hotline Miami, Skyrim.

Victory theme from Final Fantasy :D That one you cannot forget.

And most Final Fantasy series music.

Bastion and Transistor. Those games are purely amazing. Nuff said.

Haunted Legends: Queen of Spades

Rayman 1 without a doubt. But that's also nostalgy.

GTA Vice City (and Stories, to a lesser extent) has absolutely amazing music, and is simply absolutely amazing as well. :P

But, mhhhm, I guess a lot of soundtracks are good and memorable (probably missing a lot):

Total Annihilation.
Supreme Commander 1 & Forged Alliance.
Planetary Annihilation, probably, but my PC can't really handle it, so I haven't played it enough to judge.
Hitman 2 Silent Assassin.
Lego Racers 1.
A variety of Mario games.
Rayman 2.
Hotline Miami.
Europa Universalis III.
A few pieces of Deus Ex, such as the main menu tune (it's glorious).

Perhaps Monaco? Perhaps Frozen Synapse? Again, I'm probably missing a lot.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind theme.... It's so beautiful. And also The Legend of Zelda Dark World song, it's so cool.
