Around $20 per month for a 40/2 connection. The best I can get in this location. At least there is no data cap anymore... some 10 years ago I was on like 4 mbits connection for the same $20 with a 10GB data cap per month and that was truly hell, when I ran out of data it went to dial-up level speeds. So I try not to complain a lot nowadays since things were much worse.

Well, this has phone included and I get cable TV (haven't checked how many channels as I don't watch TV) from my landlord (part of renting the flat). 500 Mb/s is really neat though! I'm happy with my ISP so far as it's (here) a very good deal :)

The thing is, in my country we have 3 companies, one of which controls the Internet landlines. Recently there were rumours that they are planning to cut online gaming(they also blocked VoIP few months ago), and sinsce they control nearly everything Internt-wise in the country, all other companies will do the same. That's why some activists contacted T-Mobile and asked if making an investment in the country is ap ossibility, their answer as yes but not entirely sure. (T-Mobile also exists in the USA, but as you said, its headquarters are in Germany I presume).

That i would say is partly why your taxes are so high to pay for huge discounts like that as i assume that has to be offset by government to be that cheap or do you have some other secret source?
This was just me taking a stab at it i could be wrong just wanted to make that clear as there could be another reason for it hence why i asked about a secret source lol

You see my country BEST (Best speed best price) internet provider cost about :
$25 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 20GB day + 20GB Midnight
$50 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 55GB
I would love that...we pay 49.99 plus taxes+fees and equipment fees for 10gb a month, though from midnight to 5am it is unlimited the catch is if i go over my 10gb my speed gets throttled way back and in turns makes everyday internet slow and trash.
And i usually only get about 1.5-2mb/per second or roughly about 20-25mps but when i go over it is slow as shit.I do know what some would say which is get better net,but it is this or dial-up,then they will reply then move and i say how addicted to internet do you have to be to move just for better internet. It is sound logic if say i depended on it but i do not it is mostly used for checking e-mail,browsing the web and of course PC gaming.I would glady swap half speed for more monthly cap. There are plans that offer more monthly for a lot more cost but then i do not get the unlimited midnight to 5am which is when i download my stuff. So i guess i just take the good with the bad as the others ones have a cap with no free zone.
Though i do have moving in the plans but not so much because of the internet but because of my disability and being closer to town and other resources would help it is nice to be rural but makes it hard when getting around is not as easy as it use to be.

Spain. Apparently fiber is available near where I live, but I live just outside of town, no idea if it will end up coming our way or not, so for now I'm using DSL 6mb down / 1mb up for €20 per month. Unlimited bandwidth. Connection is utter shite though as it constantly drops / loses connection multiple times a day.

£34 ($50 or €45) a month with Virgin Media in UK. 150Mbps Unlimited, however they do enforce fair usage policy during peak hours, and will cap speeds if you fit the criteria blah blah

I just recently browsing about internet provider,
I see this http://www.xfinity.com/internet-service.html
$35 a month with 25 Mbps speed unlimited
You see my country BEST (Best speed best price) internet provider cost about :
$25 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 20GB day + 20GB Midnight
$50 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 55GB
My government said that our internet price is cheap, but I don't believe it one bit.
Out of curiosity what is your internet cost and speed?
